moty, thank you for stating that you are a legal citizen who had the courage and enough good sense to follow the lawful path. Welcome to my country. I should say ours huh?
I would never even think of giving any trespassing criminal any form of amnesty if it were up to me. If I had to I would be willing to haul them all back across the border in a wheelbarrow one at a time. Whatever it takes to regain my country.
Nina, you arent old enough to sit at the grown ups table yet, much less have an informed opinion about this subject. keep your 2 points. Now go play. or get educated on the matter at hand. talk to my friend Yars if you want some true information without any spin.
No amnesty!

No I would not. If things go properly, we will slowly return all the illegal whatevers to their own countries. You can't live in this country for very long if the authorities are actively watching for mistakes. (Problem has been our government hasn't been doing its job. That may soon change.) Everyone, no matter how careful, makes mistakes and can be caught. Besides that, how comfortable would life be if you knew you were abou to be caught and deported. You could carry secretly on but would you want to invest in a nice car, knowing your down payment would be lost when they shipped you home. Pay your taxes (on your illegal, forged doc ss#) and insurance when you know one slip up and all would be over. (Maybe you go to jail with all the gang bangers?
Wouldn't that be something to look forward to?)
This just happend to a guy in the North East (Chicago?) The suprem court, threw the guy out of the US after 20 years. He had a trucking company, married an American, had a kid here but never was given amnesty cuz he didn't apply. Party over. Back to Mexico he went. A few of these well publicized events and the illegals would start to disappear, perhaps more slowly than we all would want, but surely they would go. This is what we have to do. Secure the border in a better fashion and start looking for the illegalls who are among us.
Illegal aliens, we will hunt you down and find you and send you home to your own country. We won't tolerate illegality here anymore. NO AMNESTY! NO WAY! NO HOW!!

I think its is a complicated issue, and won't be easily solved. I mean it has taken years to develope.

I am Hispanic and I see both sides of the coin, especially living here on the border.

Illegals come every morning downtown, very early and wait to be picked up by construction companies, farmer etc. They have been doing that for years, you hear it on the news and read it in the paper all the time...

The local INS and border patrol do NOTHING.....They are well aware of this problem but turn the other way, why is that?....Now who's at fault here?

Its the government's fault and employers who hire them.

Yes, its wrong to come here without papers and work illegally, but if the government allows it and if you had a family you couldn't support on $20 a week, WHAT WOULD YOU DO???? I am sure you would certainly consider coming here illegally, after all your family comes first.....

It's stupid when I hear some say Mexicans are criminals just here to take and rape our country, THAT is simply NOT the truth....

They come here and are taken advantage of, but they don't care because they still make better money here then they would over there, they are the hardest workers and they never complain, which is more then I can say about the locals.

.....Where's the humanity?

There are various reasons for illegal immigrants to leave their countries and come to America. Some are good and some bad as we all know, plus some are desparate.
Some have governments that are so corrupt that it probably was in their best interest to leave! They needed their government to help them finacially or whatever and were turned away with out the help that they needed. Many have families to support so in desparation they flee to other countries to make a living to send money back to their famlies to fend off starvation. These are the things that I consider when faced with a question like yours.I believe that each case must be weighed individually and then a decision made from there.

me too, I dont think that illegals deserve to be rewarded. I wouldn't praise a thief for stealing and give them a reward, and if they get amnesty it is basically the same thing.

They claim to do all the jobs americans wont do, but we would do them if someone wasn't underbidding us and working for less them minimun wage for most jobs. They are the reason the price of so many things have gone up. I know a city in southern cali that is about 90% illegals, so the tax payers are really being gouged since the city has no way of making rosa and pedro pay taxes/

No, its not fair to those that have been waiting in line.
They have broken the law by coming here illegally in the first place. They need to go back to their country.
Good for you Moty at least you respected this country and came here the lawful way. Most Americans respect that..
My best friend is a legal hispanic, and he is very much against the illegals coming here. He says they have no respect for this country or its laws or people to do that. He is against amnesty...

NO how no way,, ILLEGAL is ILLEGAL, you cant change that. If we grant amnesty this will open the flood gates to anyone who breaks our laws and thinks they can come here and demand from us Americans whatever they want.

Being humane should not mean taking from true americans to give to those who break our laws.

They claim they built this country, is that not a slap in the face to all imigrants who came here. That would be every american here now and those before us whoo build this nation.

like the overwhelming majority of Americans, am sick of these illegals demanding and taking from us The American people.

don't send them back!! there are A LOT of illegal immigrants here so there is no possible way to send them all back. give them amnesty but we should help out other countries so their citizens won't have to come here to get a better life. a lot of the immigrants herework harder than us, working in jobs they were able to get because nobody in their right mind would want it.

Illegal immigrants should be sent back to the country that they come from. There are people trying to get here legally and have to wait. Why should illegals get special treatment?

I would send them back to wherever it is that they came from because it's simply unfair to the legal immigrants for the illegal immigrants to be granted amnesty.
