It really depends on what type of fish you are trying for and what time of year it is. As a rule of thumb, early in the morning is a good time, specifically at sunrise.

Anytime of day is the best time to go fishing!! Now as for when the best time to catch fish... that's different. There are alot of variables....

If you just want to catch fish, don't really care what kind, use a solunar table. They are pretty reliable for peak fish activity.
