Gender refers to the classification of parts of speech (nouns and pronouns), not people. Sex is the correct word.

Actually, you should NEVER put your sex or gender on a resume. It's not relevant in nearly all cases, and is illegal for an employer to ask.

A resume doesn't ask questions anyway. You generate your resume yourself and include whatever you feel is relevant to the position.

Good question.. I think the word gender sounds less sex oriented ... It's how now everything you have to say has to be politically correct. You can't say stewardess anymore.. you say flight attndant.. policeman/ policeman.. you say police officer...
