I love my bf very much. We have been together for 3 years... He gained alot of weight. I have spoken to him about this but he is not serious enough. I have suggested we go gym together. But no luck! Any suggestions... he really works hard and fast food seems to be inevitable

Tell him you're going to start buying his food for him, and that you're going to get him up every morning for a workout.

Don't ask. Tell.

I was a soldier in the army. I know what works. The key is to get him into better habits. Once he's in them he'll be alright, but you're going to have to get him started and hold his hand awhile.

Working-out in the mornings, when his stomach's empty, will allow you to push him harder and will increase his metabolism, increasing the rate at which he burns-off whatever he eats. After the workout he can eat whatever he wants because his stomach will be filled with blood so he won't want so much. Get it? :)

The weight will drop off him pretty quick, I assure you. The key is to keep him at it for the first six weeks or so. After that he shouldn't resist so much. Most people are creatures of habit, to some degree, whether they'll admit it or not.

Reward him with good sex as he drops the weight, too ...

Gee, I wish I had a girlfriend like the one you'll be ... :)

You sound really sweet. If he doesn't straighten-up, write me and I'll be your boyfriend. :)

You can't force him. But you can pack lunch for him, so he does not go out for fast food. You can cook healthy meals for him at home. You can cook meals, for him to take home with him. You can fill your house up with healthy snacks. Instead of going out to the movies, you can suggest a hike in the woods.

Do NOT mention diet, weight loss or health or anything along those lines. Do because you care.

Buy or rent the movie SUPERSIZE me, I swear everyone I know who has ever seen it hates to eat at fast food joints now, myself included. and I used to love those places. I also am more interested in health since I saw this film.

Reward him for going to the gym and working out with you. Everyone has their own system of currency, rewards etc. that gets them to do just about anything. My husband it's sex in public places. He'll do anything for that and I save it for those special times I want to get him to do something for me.

You really can't make someone lose weight - it has to be their decision.

If you love him as you say, you have to accept him as he is.

Approach it out of LOVE, be respectful and honest. Explain your concerns and be honest about what and why you want him to change.
