I have asked and answered numerous questions in the past 2 months. The replies of the majority of Christians were of a loving, non-judgemental nature than all else. I found the arrogance and nastiness of most non-religious, non-Spiritual people to be overwhelming. Most people of non-faith what-so-ever are pompous and irritating. There are some that use wit and sarcasm to "put down" those of a faith, but, then again, there are those who do it lovingly and in good natured fun. Humor is the answer, but why don't we laugh at ourselves, not each other. We are all children of Our Creator. Peace and Love. God Bless.

Look around and you'll see that no matter what the question, there will always be sarcastic answers. I think if one posts questions on christianity and religion in general, the majority of the gentle, sincere answers will come from Christians, as it is a subject they are passionate about. Then again, the people who are "non-faith what-so-ever" as you put it,.who feel strongly about a topic will answer with science-based intellectual answers, which to some may come off as pompous or arrogant, but in fact is them just stating their views and offering up the scientific evidence that has led them to their views and beliefs.

Poor Nikki, not to get away from your question, but it seems this person was burnt by someone pretending to be something he is not. You see, god, through His Son Jesus, has shown us the way. God is the Way, the Truth, and the Light. We can do nothing unless it is through Him. God is love. and some of those people who are so against Christians, don't really know what Christianity is all about. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that who ever believes in Him, might be saved. God did not come into this world to judge the world, but that the world would be saved through Him." If you are asking these questions, then I say God is speaking to you. Begin by reading your Bible, Hear what God is saying to you. Remember that God loves you and no matter what you have done He promises to forget our past sins when we give our hearts to Him. I will pray that you see what God has in mind for you. God bless you for asking. I will also be praying for Nikki.

A True Christian follows the teachings of Jesus. Jesus came to fufill the scripts NOT to rewrite them. IF you are full of the holy spirit (Not meaning Christian, Hindu, or Jewish or any other) Than God has his eye on you! As Christians we see this and accept it as your right. Be strong & walk in the light of your "Spirit".
As for the people that are "non-Faith-full" their arrogance & nastiness just show how sad there life is without the spirit. Their time will come, God willing.

There are plenty of Christians in this website who say things like "non believers will go to hell". Not all replies that I have got were loving. A few days ago a Christian put up a list of people who were going to hell. It included all non Christians. It is better to speak directly than show fake love. I'm from a country where Christian missionaries came a long time ago. In the beginning they behaved like angels, as soon as someone refused to listen to them they chopped of their ears and noses. This is not a story, it really happened. Modern day Christians are definitely not like that but they still show a lot of unwanted fake love to draw people to their religion. Once you convert all that will disappear.

I think for this question you need to consider just exactly how "loving" some Christians are to other groups. And I would not say this because obviously some Christians are very loving, and some other people aren't. I am saying this because some "churches" (quite a few) are "preaching" hate towards those who are diffident (once again I think you can figure out who).

Can't say I see it that way. Though I've met loving Christians, I've also met very caring Non-Believers as well. Usually in places like this, once an argument has played out, both sides use that against others of different beliefs (or lack of belief, as the case may be).

That is a very kind and loving thing to say....
As far as these that are pompous, irritating, judgemental, and non loving... remember what JESUS said:
Matthew 7:21
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many claim to be Christian that are not. (Some truly believe that they are....)

You can get a pretty good idea of who these people are..by the way they respond to those that speak negatively against the beliefs of Christians. (Because of these pompous and irritating responses, all Christians get a bad name.)

Those that "put down" our faith, and say some really hurtful things against God, His Son.... and Christians, are just ignorant of the truth. God teaches us to pray for that person and to be a Christian example to him or her. And He leaves us with this reminder:

John 15:17
These things I command you, that ye love one another.
15:18
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
15:19
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
15:20
Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
15:21
But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not Him that sent me.

Matthew 5:10
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
********************************************************************
Our God is love, and He teaches us to love one another. We do not have to agree with the non believer, nor like what they say... but we should disagree in a loving manner and give reasons why we disagree. In doing so, we are sharing God and His love...not pushing people away from Him.

God bless you...

True christians are supposed to be non-judgemental, loving, forgiving and kind. We are supposed to love our neighbors as ourselves. Of course we are all human and go astray from time to time, but God is very forgiving and forgives those who seek forgiveness. What most non-believers do not realize is the bible teaches love. They need to read the New Testament. It was Christ who said turn the other cheek.

Hello digilook.. :)

I am sitting here crying..you have touched my heart deeply..

Jesus Loves everyone, He does not look upon the color of ones skin, their different faiths, or if they have no faith at all..Jesus looks upon ones heart, for all that call upon the Name of the Lord, shall be saved..

We can be kicked around, put down and spit upon..but we will still not come back fighting, but Loving everyone.. :)

For if Jesus can Love and forgive me, when I was a worthless sinner (druggie, child abuser and a whore)..Who cursed and made fun of Christians..

How can I not, Love and forgive others.. :)

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ..

God is love and we are to become like Him. We are to love Him and other people as our own self. The opposite of self centered is loving other people and God. Jesus said the two greatest commands are to love others as yourself and to love God with all your heart, mind and strength. The bible says in first John chapter 4 verse 16:" And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him."
