Nope, i'm sure all of those people want a nice house and a nice car too. Or at least a nice sandwich.

It is not wrong to have a nice car;house, or anything of value if it comes your way or you inherit it or whatever. Don't lay a guilt trip on yourself! God wants us to have those things you know. They had riches in the old testament. Look at King Solomon,King David and the likes. They had plenty and they served God as well. It's what you do with what you have that counts especially if it is money. You seek God's heart on what charities to give to and that should ease your mind about the suffering peoples of the world. Remember the bible says "the poor you will have with you always". They' re are always going to be poor, hungry, suffering people, that's a fact. So you can do your part to help alleviate some of it by giving where God directs you to. He doesn't expect you to save the whole world! Just a little part of it.

I think everyone wants nice things and that is ok. However if you feel guilty about your material possessions due to people in the world having much less, then perhaps you ought to become involved in some organization that assists the homeless (like do volunteer work) and also donate a resonable amount based on your income. Instead of feeling bad, spend time making an effort to help others that are less fortunate overcome their issues. I don't know what you do for a living, but perhaps your knowledge and skills can inform or help someone else. Good luck!

NO it's not wrong. Where do you get that stupid idea? Do you honestly think the ones in poverty DON'T want that as well without caring about the OTHER poor people out there. I thought tithing was only during the middle ages, eh. People will keep suffering everyday whether you want/get the nice things in life or not. Simple as that.

Are you suggesting that everyone should live in something like mud huts or something? I am not rich but, I think if someone works their butt off to get what they have in life they have earned it. Why should they be subjected to supporting people who do not give a rat's but what the heck they have as long as they are getting it for free.? I think tithing is a good thing, but I do not believe that people should give until it hurts. They deserve a reward for their hard work.

You should NEVER feel guilty about God blessing you. Guilt is from the devil. Tithing is great, but if the Lord is puttin gon your heart to do more, than do more. Pray about it and ask God to reveal to you where He would like you to sow your seed. There are many great ministries out there that help the needy. Jesse Duplantis I believe helps with Katrina relief (he is based in New Orleans). Rod Parsley has projects going as well. Marcus and Joni Lamb have things going too.

Absolutely not.

Wealth is either created or earned and the people who create or earn wealth, deserve that wealth. Quite frankly, their acceptance of the abundance that God is trying to provide for all people, is mostly responsible for the wealth in their lives.

Almost all suffering in the world, especially poverty is caused by th adherence of those people to principles of evil. It is self inflicted and in no way related to the wealth of other people. Give, if you must, to prevent them from starving to death, but understand that NOTHING can help them until they give up their evil ways. And they would rather starve to death than do that. It is the nature of evil. Also, it is mostly immoral to give to these people. They turn around and use whatever you give them to do yet more evil. Food aid rots unaccepted on the dock while any money you send is used to buy guns and kill people.

That is the bottom line.

I have thought about it and I feel that the people who are poor in the world should do something about it. I am not rich but I am not dirt poor either. I work my a** off though so that I am not poor. Why can't they do the same thing? I understand that they could use some help and that is fine...but you should never feel bad about what you worked so hard to achieve. You deserve it.

Good question.. not easy to answer BUT... If you are talking about Africa... Bangledesh, etc.. the answer is: I have been in most of Africa and it is a very rich continent and the countries within it (with the exception possibly of Sudan, Ethiopia)are very rich. The problem in ALL of them(A L L of them) is that the Governments are horribly corrupt. and will NOT let the riches of the country be passed on to the people.. This also goes for Central lAmerica and South America. Riches galore but the people will NEVER be able to take part in its riches because the President of those countries and all of its ministries are corrupt beyond possibly YOUR realm of seeing through it.

I don't think it is wrong to want nice things for yourself, actually I think it is good to have some ambition. It becomes wrong when you have millions of dollars and spend freely on crap and don't give anything back, I know people like this, they give to family sparingly, and give nothing to any worthy charities or people in need. It makes me sick, but if you are just your average Joe and have enough to get by in life I don't believe it is wrong to want more, so long as greed is not your motivator.
