Georgia of course.
Because we have beaches and mountains, farmlands and marshlands, swamps and rivers. Georgia has some of the most beautiful countryside in the US. People who live in Georgia are friendly, and the state isn't backwoods like the sterotype. We have Atlanta with its Fabulous Fox Theater, Georgia Aquarium, Turner Field and Home of CocaCola. We have Savannah with it's multitude of shopping, River Street and beautiful historic squares. We have Athens, home of the Bulldogs (woof, woof, woof). And we have so many lovely small towns....Madison, Vidalia, Eatonton, and Ellijay.
Oh, and, for the most part, we have mild weather. ie. we dont get the huge tornados and earthquakes. And, thank God, hurricanes seem to pass us by.
I can't think of a better place to live.

North Carolina....mountains to ocean in half a day. Top-notch universities and colleges, 3 of the leading medical schools in the country, excellent pro sports teams (Hurricanes, Panthers), friendly people, excellent food, championship golf, all season-weather, reasonable cost of living, cutting edge technology and pharmaceutical companies.....that's just off the top of my head!

North Carolina, specifically central NC: 4 seasons of weather, winter is not horrible, beautiful beaches to the east and mountains to the west...both short drives, great job opportunities, plenty to do, family friendly and singles friendly, friendly and diverse population.
