I TOTALLLY agree. I think alot of "atheists" are really closet Christians, who come here because they are attracted by the LIGHT!!

You must be a good christian. I think its so wonderful that you are soo interested in Christianity! As a Christian, we all know that we need God.

As far as closet Christians...if your a Christian you should be proud of it and not be in the closet about it.

I am proud of it and I want the whole world to know.

I don't know why you think that. I'm not a mind reader. But you are right. It seems to be the main subject around here. Could that be because it is such a powerful influence in the world? Probably.

Many a church community met in secret to avoid the reprisal of anti-Christianity.

At least when someone slaps your cheek here it doesn't hurt and you can turn the other one.

I take it from your sarcastic("sooo")question that you disapprove of what you call "closet Christians". I don't know about the rest of the Christians, but the one's I know are pretty much upfront/out-in-the-open about their Christianity. We have something we feel is important enough to try and share with you and with others. Yahoo-answers is just another missionary field for us. Some are more gentle in there means of persuasion than others, that's all. No "closet" about it. Thanks for listening.

I grew up in the Christian religion as a child. My family is Christian. I came away from that religion with no clue to understanding what God is and more disgusted with their judgmental beliefs against other people and preaching too much about "what not to do" rather than "what to do". There was lack of love in that religion.

I just went off on my own spiritual path finding my own answers. I finally understood God in my mid-20's by looking at it from other perspectives first, then now I understand it from ALL perspectives and religions.

I do believe in the teachings of Jesus and do recognize him as a great Master along with many others. I now follow the Hindu philosophies as it was meant to be for my own spiritual path.

It makes me cringe when too many Christians reject and judge too many when Jesus teaches us to love ALL unconditionally regardless.

If not closet Christians but future true Christians converting lost souls. Atheism does not exist therefore they're Ex-Christian's who are just bitter with God! They are trying too hard and have no evidence for their debates and arguments but Good entertainment though!

I'm not 'secretive' about being a Christian. Everyone who knows me, knows that I believe in Christ. But I'm not trying to be a missionary or try to convert other people whom I don't even know. I talk to God every night and sometimes during the day, but I don't feel I need to exploit it all around. If asked, yes I believe in a Higher power.

unlike many homophobically militant closeted queer people, the atheists you see attacking christianity with knowledge of the religion aren't christians. they're just informed.

their only interest in christianity is in trying to dispel the intolerance and igorance it has caused.

perhaps this is the only response you could think of to the fact that many atheists are pointing out holes in your holy book.

I think it might be that it is the major religion of the English speaking world.

as for closet Christians, I doubt it, most people are not ashamed of being part of the majority.
