Jesus tells us: The Truth is so simple, even a child can understand.

After reading what so-called Adult atheists say. I did have to ponder about this mistake. AFTER considering the facts.
The Holy Bible is in fact God's Truth, without errors.
Atheists simply don't have the mind of a child yet.

What are you doing? Playing crossword puzzle with letters?

If you can't grasp Truth, switch to Lincoln Logs*. At least you might be able to get something to come into place.

Right?

To: The Honorable jtucker, lets see what your fearless leader says:
Taking the bible literally, it was Sir Isaac Newton and today he's claimed by the scientists of the world to be the greatest mind scientifically to ever exist in history, said just before Christ returns, ministers will mock the idea of a literal Bible. And Sir Anderson who did the 70 weeks of Daniel 9:24 said the same thing. They will mock the literal interpretation of the Holy Word of God. Stick to it and believe what it says literally.

You obvisously didn't understand the original question. Your ref's are talking about spiritual growth and maturity. That is exactly what I'm NOT talking about.
2 Tim.3:14-15 talks about. (from whom you have learned them) A reference to Paul as well as to Timothy's mother and grandmother(3:5). (3:15)." from childhood you have known the sacred writings". the Jewish boy formally began to study the OT when he was 5 years old. Timothy was taught at home by his mother and grandmother even before he reached this age.".
Now. comtemplativ. If you chose to take a stand FOR atheists, thats your opinion. I will stand for Christ. Before you try to degrade someone about they're topic, you should first understand the question.
I'll say this again. Jesus:God:The Holy Spirit, Truth:Word..refers to little children as being so simple, a child can understand it. Don't question the meanings and understandings of the Word, as to your own. You need to take a stand FOR Christ.

To:bgdadyp. Great Question. Thank You. You know what. I have read your questions. You say at times, your a Christian. then you say your a pagen. You claim to know the Bible, from cover to cover. the questions you ask, are in the "attack" mode, not "seek", mode. You say the Bible was shoved down your throat as a child, and you know it from cover to cover, yet how can God, sacrafice His own Son? Does this sound like insult and mock the very own Word, that you claim to know so well? My friend, I can be as nice and caring as anyone. I can be as confrontative as a person desires to get, when it comes to Christ. Sir, I will STAND, for Christ. I will not pet someone on the nose, when they MOCK, or insult The Word. You go back, and read your questions again. Those are not out of love. I would share anything I know, with anyone. Atheists are only looking to stir the pot. I see them bash other Christians. I will defend a Brother or Sister. They are only on here to have fun like anyone else.

I find it "neat", how people think and believe what they do. I have not told anyone my denomination, for a reason. I'm not here to "plug" my church belief. I have seen others do this. Thats not cool. Thats they're choice. I have answered any question, with the same "mode" it was asked. I know at lot of these people. I read most questioner's profile. I want to see what "frame" they're question is in. I do not have the answers. If people are looking at me and judging all Christians by me, then..hahahahhaha. What did Jesus say:. Keep your eyes on ME. Not any man. Just because you or anyone does not agree with me, thats great. Thats why people have different "levels". They have they're "own", meaning. A person can't tell a person with less teachings what or how to act. That comes from spiritual growth. These Christians that just ..

TO: bgdadyp. simply tell people out of love and leave it alone. Thats ok, I guess. Thats all they know as a Christian. They simply have not had or don't know how a lot of the Bible tells them too take up a sword and defend God's, Word. What does all atheists do? Insult. why? to cause trouble. what is the first thing they all say? Hey, Your a Christian, this is not what jesus would do. hahahhaha. lol. hahahah. My friend, an Atheist is as dumb as a box of rocks, when it comes to knowing Jesus did in fact do, and what He said. I simply posted the question for Atheists to say what they want. If they KNOW, they can prove me wrong, and what I said is scriptural wrong. We'll find out. Atheist are FIRM, and will not change. I do not witness to a profound atheist. My friend, I know where to start and stop. I have said nothing that has not already been said, in the same tone, to anyone. You read when a person is too take a STAND. read who took STANDS and why. That was a good comment. Thank You

To: bgdadyp. You made a statement and formed it into a question. You were all too quick, to let it be known, you had 4 years of Christian school and knew the Bible from cover to cover. You gave the implication, since you had all of this knowledge, they Why would God sacrafice His own son?. Had any person that was a mere "doubter", in the Word, read this. What did it say to them? It said exactly what you meant it to say. I answered your question exactly how I meant to answer it, in a way to have a "doubter", look at your question as a "authority", to the Word. That was a very "stumbling block" question. I just tried to kick it out of the way, for a person not to stumble. That is not a personal attack on you. I'm just playing your own game. You are here to cause doubt. I'm here to help confirm and stand for Truth. Someone lays down a lie and stumbling block for others. I will try my best to remove it, or kick it aside.
Have a nice week. (overlook my typo's too). hahahahha bye.

they have missed it again, they are eating the lincoln logs instead of assembling them.. The error is that a child can understand, but that is a child made by God in his likness and image. A ape child or primate person that has'nt evolved sufficiently to accomplish the tasks of a child just will not be able to make the leap and will end up eating the logs.. You must put this in a much simpler for with samller words and maybe with time (3 or 4 million years) it will get through.

Hi Mr. Mister. I'd need a reference for your assertion that Jesus says the truth is so simple that little children can understand it.

He says in Matthew 19:14 that the kingdom of heaven is made of "such as these" referring to children. But it's not their understanding of doctrine, but their innocence and trust that He's speaking of.

Of the truth, there were many things that the disciples had a difficult time understanding and they were with Jesus daily.

I know there's a lot of baiting that goes on here. I'm not going to tell you your business, but I do wish you would reconsider resorting to these tactics. The people Jesus was hardest on and challenged most were the Pharisees - the religious leaders of their day. Not the unbelieving.

You simply have no way of knowing what their anger is about. The last thing we should want is to be a stumbling block to others.

One thing that would prevent an adult from having a childlike faith is pride. But another is pain. I beseech you to avoid adding insult to anyone's injury.

Edit: Curiously, still no reference.

Timothy did learn scriptures as a child. And as an adult, Paul explained them to him more fully.

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. I Corinthians 13:11-12

For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Hebrews 5:12-14

Mr.Mister
I know my spelling isn't the best but why must you stoop to juvenile name calling? I only asked a question that seemed logical to me. If you don't know the answer or if you disagree then why not just say so? Yes I did go to a Christian Nazarene school for four years and was force fed your bible the whole time. I did not believe any of it from the beginning. Just because I know the book from cover to cover does not mean I have to agree with it. Why is it so hard to understand this? You ask questions I don't like yet I don't make fun of you or call you names. Weather we believe the same thing or not there is no reason we can not be civil to one another.

I am speaking of course to the answer you posted to my question yesterday.

i have not once claimed to be christian. i am in fact a pagan. my questions are not designed to be an offensive attack but merely thought provoking. maybe I'm not to good at asking them in the right way.

i am sorry i thought you were poking fun at my spelling. (witch god) my bad.
now i in no way intend to put up "stumbling blocks" in any-ones path.
i was asking a real question that i wanted honest answers for.
just because i studied the bible does not mean i understand it all. the only way to learn what you don't know is to ask. you can't begrudge me that can you?

It's obvious you are much more familiar with toys than the bible.

"An Historical Account of Two Notable Corruptions of Scripture is a dissertation by the English Mathematician and Scholar Isaac Newton. First published in 1754, twenty-seven years after Newton's death, it reviewed all the textual evidence available from ancient sources on two disputed Bible passages, at 1 John 5:7-8 and 1 Timothy 3:16."

I have honestly read through all this question, all I can see that resembles a question is "Right?"
The rest is complete 'gobble de ****'.
These Christians will always use the bible as proof of 'Fact'!
Nothing at all could be further away from 'fact' than the bible! but it is the only answer they have to any logical question ! (Shame really).
The questioner states "Atheists simply don't have the mind of a child yet"!
The same questioner has recently just answered a question by declaring "The Christian God will not have Christians killing one another" Christians have never and will never kill one another??
If I ever heard a childish statement, that is the most stupid I have ever heard. Who is willing to believe that?? (not many)
Don't you think this guy is a bit antagonistic to be a true Christian ? I think this feller imagines himself to be a new 'Crusader' and we all know what they were all about don't we??

I guess by "mind of a child" , you mean being able to believe in things that common sense dictates are unbelievable. Then yes, having the mind of a child is beyond me.

How did Noah fit 2 of every animal onto a small boat? Did he travel to Australia to pick up kangaroos and wallabies?
To the South Pole to pick up penguins and America for turkeys?

Why get hung up on the absolute truth when the Bible is more about how to live your life?

The Old Testament is heavy duty crime and punishment: stoning gays, witches, people who follow other religions, sons who drink too much. The New Testament is about loving your fellow man. How do you reconcile the two?

The problem with religion is that it was written by men and is their interpretation of events they couldn't understand fully. Organized religion is just mankinds attempt to control the people, just like politics. A righteous person need not go to an established church to believe in God. Obviously there is a greater power than mankind to have made all of these wonderful things in the universe. All mankind has successfully done is make war and abuse other people for all of human history.

The bible is not the word of God. It is the word of man. I could go write the equivalent of the Bible and everyone would think I am crazy.

I would love to debate you, but you have no contact information. haha, poor baby. Also, if you are religious and God fearing, why would you attack someone elses belief? Shouldn't your be nurturing them and helping them to believe?!?! If you are what religion and God produces...I want nothing to do with it!

That's one way to convince us to be Christians. Say a child is more intelligent than us, oh, of course God is real! Saying something is simple doesn't make it true. It's a very simple thing to say "well God did everything" That doesn't make it true. Truth needs some evidence to be called so, give us something decent and maybe we can talk.
