"I want a little privacy." means "我想有一點隱私"
"Give me some privacy." means "給我一些隱私"
or...you can say....
"我想有一點隱私權"
"給我一些隱私權"
"隱私權" means "The privacy rights"
Can the American say "The privacy rights" ? @@"~

Generally, this is a new word as privacy is a new concept. Only untill recently, this idea began to get into the Chinese society.

In my younger days, if we ever speak of privacy, my dad will say, 'sure, go stay in your own house and have your own privacy', in my house, I am the boss.

But now, my daughters is speaking of privacy. Ha. . .

Anyway:
privacy : 隱私權, it is read as yǐn sī quán
隱 is the hide, or cover.
私 is personal, individual.
權 is one's right.

But 保密 is Secrecy
保 is to protect, security when put with 安. 保安
密 is secret.

Give me some privacy. 給我一些隱私權.
