Everyone is born heterosexual. The male (female) DNA has programed the male (female) to have male (female) physical attributes and innate desires. If you have a homosexual persuasion it is because your innate desires have been contaminated by sin.

One of your innate desires is to be sexually attracted to the opposite sex.

Many people who have chosen a homosexual lifestyle did so for one or more of the reasons listed below.

1) was sexually violated as a young child
2) experimented with homosexual behavior, liked it and became addicted to it
3) hurt in a heterosexual relationship and turned to a homosexual relationship to meet sexual needs
4) was confused in their feelings for people of the same sex, was told that they were gay, and should pursue that direction
5) uncomfortable with the opposite sex and chose to go with the same sex to fulfil sexual desires
6) a male (female) may have been made to feel inferior as a male (female) while the female (male) was made to be superior. To be accepted, the male (female) wanted to be female (male) and decided to emulate female (male) behavior and mannerism.
7) male (female) looked to another male (female) to meet his (her) desire for love (non sexual type) but equated sex with love
8) heterosexual child adopted by a homosexual parent chose homosexual lifestyle because child wanted to please the parent
9) peer pressure

There are many, many other reasons besides these listed above that have contributed to someone choosing a homosexual lifestyle.

The dynamics of human behavior and relationships are very complex. There is no simple explanation as to why we think the way we do or why we make the choices we do.

God's Word says that sex is to be between a man and a woman who are committed to each other in a marriage relationship. Any other form of sex, such as homosexuality, adultery, fornication, bestailty, pedophilia, pornography, and masturbation is a sin.

fr chuck:

Man does not have the answer nor the cure for homosexuality.
Jesus does. He is the answer and He can set those captive to homosexuality (as well as any other sin) free.

An example of this is recorded in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11. The Apostle Paul was telling the Christians at the Church of Corinth that no unrigtheous person such as homosexuals, effeminates (transvestites), fornicators, adulterers, thieves, idolaters, drunkards, and etc. shall inherit the kingdom of God. Paul went on further to say that some of them in the Church were like that but they had been washed (forgiven), sanctified (set free from sin), and justified (made innocent) by the Holy Spirit in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. If they have been sanctified or set free from sin that means that if they were, for example, homosexual then they no longer were and were now heterosexual.

It's as natural to them as heterosexual love is to heterosexuals. It's just the way things work. I find it sad when people are looking for a "reason" someone is gay. Instead of looking for that reason, why don't we see that a homosexual is a human being, just like heterosexuals. Why do people assume that they are evil or that there is something wrong with them? Probably for the same reason that some people think all muslims are terrorists - intolerance and the need to find someone you deem as worse than yourself to make yourself feel better. Imagine a world where everyone accepted each other for WHO they were, not WHAT they were. Where it didn't matter if they were catholic, lutheran, muslim, jewish, white, black, gay, straight, German, Irish, Iraqi; where it just mattered that they were good and knew how to accept each other and coexist with each other, without trying to change each other. Wouldn't that be something?

if it were introduced to them, i wonder how the "others of the same" were introduced to it.

and who introduced it to them.

and who introduced it to them.

why do you care why queer people are queer? it doesn't affect you, and it doesn't affect the fact that queer people deserve equality.

edit, to fr_chuck:
i've had to deal with you saying ridiculous things before, but this is perhaps the worst. whether something is an "occurrence" or a "defect" and whether a "cure" for a particular thing can exist are just word games. the only thing you've proved is that you're a bigot and that you have absolutely no place in modern society.

i'm not going to make the obvious joke about the need for a cure for people like you, since you can see how i feel.

It's totally natural to be gay. Homosexuality behavior is in lots of other species of animals. They don't make "choices" but follow their 'god-given' way of being instead. It's the same with homosexuality in humans. It exists for purpose of survival of the species, giving an extra set of adult hands to raise the young in a world where many parents to not live until their child reaches adulthood and can survive on their own.

is it natural to be straight or was it introduced to them at a young age, by others of the same?

"Natural" is a vague term. But many scientific studies have shown that being attracted to the same sex is genetic, so it's just something that's in them; they can't help it. Many people believe it's caused by environmental or incidental influences. No one knows for sure yet.
As for the douchebag above me, that's like saying "There's no cure for being Black yet." What an idiot.

Its natural. They've proven that its in your dna. Plus you can see it throughout history and in animals. So its not a choice. Plus some people who are taught that being gay is a sin, and believe it, turn out gay. So as far as i can see its not a choice and its completely natural.

There are plenty of gay animals....and that's not something that can really be "introduced" to them. I would say that its just something that people do.
