My best friend, who is a guy, just told me he was jealous of my boyfriend because my boyfriend has me and he doesn't. I love my boyfriend and this my friend has always hated him and I liked my friend before this and I don't know what I am supposed to say to him now. He's like a brother and 4 months ago I would have killed to have him but now I would want him if I wasn't already going out with this other guy. What should I do?

Sounds like your best Friend don't know what he wants and like to stand on the side-line and gets mad when someone decide to take a swing. If i were you, don't break-up with your current boyfriend unless there is a reason. Tell your best friend that you are in a different stage in life and is having fun. If things don't work out with your boyfriend, your best Friend can have the chance to man-up and take action. You should not be the one who gets the broken heart for breaking up with your boyfriend just because your best friend was too timid to date you and played the 'Best Friend' act.

If he were a true friend he would respect your decision to stick with your boyfriend. Sounds like he has confused your friendship with romance. As long as the boyfriend does the right stuff stick with him. The other guy has a choice to keep a friendship or move on. Do not give up on what you know to be good.

umm... first tip, DONT tell him that u wanted him before. he might just go home and ram his head onto the wall. worse, it might leak out to your bf that u said that, and your bf would feel insignificant. (no guy would like to know that his gal is saying such thing to another man) just tell him ur sorry and ur happy with your bf now, and u hope that as your friend, he'd be happy for u too. tell him u still hope to stay friends and thats all u can offer him at the moment. and its probably best to hangout less with him. (u dont have to tell him this) life will be hard having to cut out your best friend, but it could be the best way. for both u and your bf, and him. unless he agrees not to bug u about this anymore.

Tell your best friend that you love your current boyfriend and if he would've spoken up alot earlier then things might've happened the way he wanted. So tell him that if he wants to be a true friend that he would respect your wishes and be the best friend and who knows possibly down the road things might go his way.

Let him know that you haveo rhad feelings for him but due to the circumstances....it's not possible for you two to be together. Let him know that there is a chance for you two...just not now. I'm sure if he's really feeling you then he'll stick around until or if he's feeling too much...he'll let you know that he can't just be friends. That's when you have to worry about making a decision and when and if it comes down to that ask yourself this....which one would I marry in ten years?
