I am thinking of moving there and was wondering where there is a good, affordable area to live.

Depends on what your looking for is a best place:
Party time young crowd- Buckhead
New expensive homes and golf- Alpharetta(sp?)
Middle of the road good restaurants nice places- Marietta
Back woodsy more land-Kenasaw

Somewhere outside the actual city limits. I would suggest Sandy Springs, Marietta, or another one of the thousands of suburbs right out of the city. Do some research. My friends moved from Houston and settled in Marietta and its decently affordable and not too horrible to get into town, but i must warn you that the traffic is horrid all the time.

i ll tell you where not to go bankhead, cambellton rd, cascade, just anywhere that is over crowded
