I don't know if my boyfriend is serious about me. This is the third time we've been together and he says he is and he acts like it, but he cheated on me once about a month ago the first time we went out, this is the third like I said and I don't know if he's serious this time or if I'm just wasting my time with him?

A man who is serious about you and only you will not cheat on you. If you've been together twice before and he's made you feel like it wasn't going to work, what makes you think the third time is a charm. Think about what ever he said to persuade you to give him another chance... was it sincere? could he have said it to the same girl he cheated on you with? or is it possible that the girl he cheated on you with no longer wants him and that's why he came back. I believe love can conquer all but these are things you have to ask yourself. If you're still not sure then perhaps he's not doing the best job of convincing you. And given the situation he's put you through before, you may want to re-evaluate what you've gotten yourself into.

It seems you have reason to doubt, why not give him a test and see how he reacts. For instance you could send him two valentine one obviously from you and one from a secret admirer and ask him how many he received.
