A lot of cultures believed in the end of the world, the Norse for one and you know they're not wrong, eventually the world will end although probably by atomic bomb or killing the environment, still end of world.

Please give me more then verses from the Bible, try thinking for your self.

many believe that the advances in weapons technology have created a ticking time bomb that, upon detonation, will ultimately result in the destruction of the earth.

if people don't do something to "end the world," the sun will eventually expand, consuming the planet.

but perhaps by that point, our world won't be limited to the earth, and we'll be indifferent to the catastrophe.

Humans will not be able to destroy the planet.
Make it almost inhabitable, maybe.
Education will win.
Annihilating most of its inhabitants with an atomic war is a possibility, but highly unlikely.
Every living thing has a life expectancy and eventually dies, cultures change or go extinct.
We can not see too far into the future, we assume there will be some cataclysmic end to the human race.
Some say we are going to go extinct by out breeding ourself.
Meaning the more we move away from the trees and the more ceribral we become it should or might influence the evolution of the human body.
Mind reading, ESP, and all the other 6 th senses will develope as individula senses.
This is where our destiny is.
Some billions of years from now the planet earth will vanish, absorbed by the ever expanding sun.

i can picture a world a world without war, a world of love, a world of peace.....'n i can picture us attacking that world 'cause they'd never expect it. ;0)

God will end the world because women will not follow his precepts of serving and submitting to their husbands, while also forcing their way into His Holy churches to practice their heathen art of gossip. He will make the world into a large casserole that nobody wants, cause it's got dirt in it and throw it out to cosmic deranged Jack Russel booger-dogs who will chew it up like an old Frisbee. Like everything else, the world will end because of he foolishness of women 'n how they can break the proverbial anvil with a rubber mammer/,.

We must end this practice or the world will end next Thanksgiving. If you repent now and make amends to the Lord and your wonderful husband, you also will receive a free recipe for 7 years of Sunday dinners. After 7 years, your behavior will be reviewed and you will be duly punished for your insubordination..because as a woman, you know you will buck the Holy system so you deserve a flogging. 'n you know that is Right....better punished than the end of the world....now you've made me hungry for some fried chicken so get your heathen' buns in the kitchen and make me some, or the end of the world may come for you early.

Why are you worried about the end? Creation began 6000 years ago and continues today. Concentrate on what you can do for creation instead of what the end will bring.
You can't change the end, but you can make a difference in creation. What can you do to stop the genocide in Darfur, Sudan? Every life you save will make a difference in creation.

What would Jesus do?

I don't believe there will ever be an "end of the world."

There may come a time when we wouldn't recognize it as our world, but through all the changes the world will continue.

The question would better be asked, "What are your thoughts on the end of the world as we know it?"

they told me in science class, in jr. high that the sun would eventually expand and consume the earth and all the other planets in the solar system, before it imploded on itself.
i don't think the human race could be killed off by a nuke.
a massive asteroid impact could destroy the technological civilization but it wouldn't kill all the people. the earth would have a couple thousand years for the beautiful green to reclaim the land before we ripped it up again.

It is all in the bible that you don't want to hear about, so you must by your own request stay in ignorance and only experience it as it happens.. You think for yourself, predict tomorrow or next year all by yourself.. Are my thoughts so much greater than God's that i can bring about the end of the world?? God has had it written down and don't worry it will happen.

Given what history has taught us, the odds are significantly in favor of you or I dying prior to the end of the world. Therefore it is really not worth worrying about too much.
