The Mormon man can marry as many women as he can, as long as he can provide for them and their children. There are several forms of marriages or relations in the Mormon faith, and some of them are called concubines. Some practice that rule, such as Smith. Had several wives, but didn't live with them openly. Brigham Young had more than 50 wives, 19 were connubial wives, and with all these women had 56 children.

To answer your questions. Yes, but many of them don't have multiple wives. and, Yes Mormons are polygamist. Same with the Muslims, they are permitted to have four wives at a time, plus the concubine, plus the pleasure wives, but they too, most don't have more than one wife.

Mormons are no longer polygamists. Last I heard they are very family oriented (which is more than could be said of many people outside of that religion). They do pay and have always paid a lot of attention to their families and they are succesful people. They are kind and they are just trying to do all of God's commandments so they can also help humjanity and go to God.

They have different thinking and many accuse them of being a sect, but theri founder Joseph Smith is the one who was a poligamist. That no longer applies.

yes there are many flaws in Mormonism. Unfurtunately those who are born into a Mormon family stay that way and its very hard to let them see there is another real life and God after Mormonism which is not the real nor close thing about God and His plan.

Yes there are many theories that have base on strange beliefs and many or all passed down by a man who was born in the 1800's who prayed and so he said, to God to let HIM see what was the right religion. This I find extremely dangerous. For this Joseph Smith is parting from Scriptures, he did his own thing and called himself the Prophet along with 15 older guys that are chosen.

In the Bible Scriptures Jesus did say "beware of the great deception, for false prophets will abound" that is happening right now and for the last 50 years at least. False prophets and mass suicides and strange sexual context ideology.

The Church of Mormon is not a Church really , it departs from Jesus teachings, it has flaws, its refering also to a man's writings, it does not recognize all of the Bible and its scriptures but has made another set of new or modern times book. The book of Mormon.

I would say, beware, this is very new since the 1800's
Christ's church since 1970 years ago. 2000 years ago is when Christ was recognized by the Magi men. Officially making King Herod recognize the birth of a King THE KING.

So I would pay attention to what Jesus said , as the Church of Mormon being one fo the false prophets that would spring up. And every time you encounter one, softly and gently lead them to a straight path.

Like some Christians support Homosexuality,
Like some Bhuddists support Kicking ***,
Like some Jehovahs support Never Coming to My House,

Some mormons have many wives. And when I say many I mean MANY. But it's not really that much of a majority.

The only sect of the Latter Day Saints church ("mormons") that still believes in polygamy is the Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints. That is only a small segment of the LDS religion. The mainstream LDS church (out of Salt Lake City) stopped practicing Polygamy in the late 1800s.

Initially, the policy of the Mormon church included polygamy. Today it is not publically acknowledge and occasionally frowned upon. However, some Mormons do have many wives. But then, Islam as well allows men to have multiple wives.

Generally, Mormon fundamentalists and small offshoots of Mormonism practice polygamy. The practice was made illegal in the U.S. in 1862 and in 1904 the church issued a decree that prohibited performing or entering into polygamous marriages. There are an estimated 30,00 - 60,000 "Mormon" polygamist marriages in the U.S. currently. The actual amount of wives each has is probably relative to their status in their community as well as financial ability to support them.

It creates problems because some of the wives and children that do escape use resources that could be used by others if we didn`t allow the old pedophiles from marrying preteens and teen girls. The old goats take all the brides away from the younger men that would be more justified in marrying them. I view it as gender abuse at it`s worst.

It affects the lives of all teen boys in the Mormon communities who are run off because there aren't enough women for them all to have 6-10 wives. Many of them are beaten badly beforehand to make sure they don't return. And they are ill prepared to live life in the real world.

There are some that were once Mormons and they might still practice polygamy, but true followers don't practice it any more. Once it was made a law then they stopped. But there are those that still do it and they are not affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints aka "Mormons"
Any LDS that practices polygamy will be excommunicated.
