Does Beer actually taste nice?

Like many 22 year old males I have a mild obsession with drinking beer. I have recently come to the conclusion that it does not actually taste nice. The only reason we drink it is because it gets us pissed. Would you drink non alcoholic beer?. No. What do you think?

I agree with you - beer tastes awful - if it weren't for the alcohol it would be useless.

I had to give up beer at 20 to go onto ale's and bitters which some were interesting, others were awful but at that age its the alcohol percentage and less gas which we were concerned with and some of the honey beers etc do actually taste good.

There are over 70 different styles of beer. They range from light to dark and sweet to bitter. Everyone's taste buds are different so "nice" to you may not be "nice" to me. Try some different styles of beer like a stout or a pale ale. Give them at least 3 sips before you give them a thumbs up or down. As someone who drinks beer only when feels like it I can honestly say that it has a very specific taste which I can't always take, but when it's really hot, or with barbecue, mmmmmmmmm....

taste, by definition, is a VERY personal sensory perception... taste is unique to each and every one of us, there is no such thing as "universal" taste. how beer affects your or my taste buds might be different, in spite od its being the same beer and our being "equal" (under god, law, etc.)...

beer have a very low alcohol content which doesnot provide any high provided by alcohol.Beer will taste good if it is very chilled and with it u have nice food/snacks.aaaaaand brand is very very important .
