Get yourself a sarong (wrap dress), a pair of shorts, but not too short no wants to see you in daisy dukes, and a pair of white capris! Of course a swimsuit. Take a formal dress, a shorter "dinner" type nice dress, a costume (boats have costume party one night while at sea. Get an outfit that woud be good for the disco! A pair of black slacks and a pair of white slacks with a nice beautiful top to match both. You do not want to end up buying clothes on the boat because you forgot something! Take tons of sunscreen, or course. Take plenty of film, or an extra digital chip, film and processing is siooooo expensive on board is not something you have to resort to. Try not to go without a bra unless you aren't too busty. No one wants to see your "girlfriends" bouncing and hanging around. Not classy. You'll be invited once to the "Captains" table so you want to look your best in a classy formal gown. Tank tops are great if you have one in black/white with a bit of sparkle. Wear waterproof mascara, for the sweat/heat, pool, walking around, nothing good about Raccoon eyes! Use little makeup, beiges and whites as eyeshadows., more sparkle for night parting. Drinks are NOT paid for on most ships, including soda! EEEEK! and they aren't cheap either. Coffee and tea are free, and guess what...so is the water! Hope this helps!

Whatever you are comfortable in. Sun dresses are nice because they are light and airy, but still kind of dressy. If you like skirts, some skirts in bright colors with some tops to match are always nice. Maybe a light jacket at night when it can get chilly.

For your meals, it is nice to have something a little more dressy. Depending on your cruise line, they each have a different dress code and enforce it differently. Even if they allow you to be more casual, I still like to wear something nicer.

Depending on the line you chose, most of them are pretty laid back now. It's not like it used to be when you have to wear evening gowns all the time.

Just bring the same type clothes with you that you would take on a tropical vacation and maybe a few things to dress up.

Bon Voyage!

Some cruises have formal nights while others have dress codes in the dining rooms. You'll have to check the cruise operator's web site for the specific information that applies to the cruise you've booked. Have a great time!
