Generally, when a manufacturer makes something have less fat, they increase the sugar, and that's not good for you. You really just have to read the nutrition facts label and skim/scan the list of ingredients for things you're trying to avoid.

Advertising "Lite Foods" can be deceiving.
It may mean something as simple as light in colour or density.
Yes, reading labels really is the answer.
Check out the type & percentage of fat in the product.
There are certain essentail fats that we need daily for optimal function. Find a credible source on the web written by a registered nutritionist or dietician, on the topic of fat content in food.
Hope this helps!

Yes and no. Things that contain most artificial sweeteners also contain aspartame - which is used for "preservation" but is in fact, a rat poison chemical that cannot be purged from your system, and will kill you quicker than not.

If you're going to eat lite foods, please read the label first. I you don't want to eat what's in it, don't eat it period.

Yes, but that means you can eat all you want. If you have been eating 2 cookies a day and change to lower calorie, lower fat, lower sugar cookies and still eat only 2, it is good.

If you see light and eat 5 of them, bad.

Light is just one step of the way.
