My 1st question was "Don't red lights mean Stop?" (Had all great answers) Now I'd like to hear from people who run red lights, particularly in my town, San Antonio TX where it is so common you can see it several time in any given day. If you do this & live somewhere else let me know. If you're one of the people who routinely runs red lights, I'd like to know, why?

not from SA.. I just ran a red light today. there was no other traffic around, and when I looked up the light was green, and on this intersection the light doesn't change unless there is cross traffic. but when I started through the intersection, I looked again and the light was red!!!!!!! I slammed on the brakes, but decided that I was already too far through, so I just continued on. I felt bad, but knowing that no one else was around and no one got hurt I figured no harm, no foul.

don't live in San Antonio and don't run lights. I see people in my town run them all the time to it really sucks and i always hesitate when my light turns green. i have seen way to many accidents caused by people that run the lights. that is why they put up the red light cameras in my area the ticket is over $300 at the moment and still going up. It really dose cut back on the people that run it right after it changes accidents have gone down

I think here in california we push the yellow. I've seen the cops do it.
I never cross an intersection when the light turns green without looking for the car that will be racing to get through it. It is just a part of life in southern california.

Take down a plate number if you can catch it as they drive by, turn that in to the cops and report it. Get the cops involved, they love traffic enforcement, that's pure revenue stream, baby! LOL
