If it bothers you so much don't listen or read other questions and answers! You are not a child are you? Do you read the bible? Whether you read it or not, there's proof that this world is dying and people are dying faster everyday because of turmoil. Your views are pointless!

I remember when John F. Kennedy was shot in Dallas. A couple of years later the rumor was that he was still alive in a closed off wing of the hospital being kept alive by machines. When he recovered he would be the Antichrist.
How absurd!
But the rumor ran around for years. It was all supposed to end when he came back.
Jesus said there will be wars and rumor of wars, earthquakes and famine, etc. He said that these were signs of the end times. Think about it.
There were 4000 years of biblical history before the birth of Christ and there have been only 2000 biblical years since his birth. The planet itself is probably 10,000 years old and the Universe may be on the order of 300,000 years old.
So, since the physical death of Christ to now is just a blink of the eye on the universal scale.
When you look at it that way the end is probably closer than we may think.
But...if Christ is on the throne of your life. It doesn't matter because we are strangers here, just passing through to a better glory with our Lord eventually. (Followers of Christ that is.).

It shouldn't bother a Christian. The end times for Christians simply means that God is coming for his people and the anti-Christ will rule and bring the seven years of turmoil. Yeah, sometimes i worry about it, but not too much.

We are experiencing the worst of it right now,,, it will not get worse than it did in 2005. The reason there is so much negativity attached to it is because it's the beginning of the end of religion on earth and only the religious don't like it.

"Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who shall not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom" (Matthew 16:28, Mark 9:1, Luke 9:27).
It's obvious the "end times" came and went.
Amazing that so many people would rather focus on the negative than the positive. We all have our own "end time" and should focus on the positives of daily living rather than our ultimate "end time."

It doesn't bother me. I believe that the earth is over 3 billion years old. It's only been about 2006 years since Jesus. A lot of people want to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die. Well I guess there are a few crazies out there, but I really don't think they believe in heaven or hell.

It's not the end of times, just the end of our way of life.
Peak oil is set to occur 2012 and then our monetary system based on growth will collapse. Google peak oil and swallow the red pill. Global warming might also be a big problem if Greenland melts (as it seems to be doing).

Yeah, it is completely irrational. The amount of earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, and other disasters is still fairly low when compared to earlier times. Everything moves in cycles. Leave it to the religious right to stir up the nuts with all this end of times crap.

It doesn't bother me because they are right. The earth has been growing more violent by far in the last 80 years in weather, earthquakes, and all kinds of disasters. And, it's going to get worse!

yes, it's very annoying.
i'm sure lots of christians throughout history have seen cataclysmic events occur and decided that, without a doubt, jesus would be there before the end of the week.
but, of course, people today think those people were simply confused, since the real apocalypse is just 'round the corner.
except that it's not.
