Okay. I heard that in some states or something if you have oral sex you're not considered a virgin anymore. Is that true? Or is that everywhere or a personal opinion? I got that off a teen message board on www.teenspot.com. I'd just like to know if it's true or not. Thanks for the help! <3

It's a matter of opinion. Some people believe if your hymen is intact that you are a virgin.

As former President Clinton found out, others believe oral sex is sex.

My opinion? If you have to use the word sex in the description so that someone knows what it is, then it is sex. If you've had sex, you aren't a virgin. Otherwise a lesbian might be a virgin her whole life no matter how many partners she had.

Abstinence is defined as no genital contact at all. Some people define virginity as abstaining from sex, so that means any form of sexual contact (oral, fingering) might be considered losing virginity. The textbook term, however, is the actual penetration of the male genital part into the female genital part.

Oral sex is still a form of sex, and engaging in this doesnt mean that you lost your virginity.

Some states do have laws called "unnatural laws" which prohibit oral sex but these laws are rarely inforced. I believe there are 15 states who do still prosecute.
