friends that look out for the boyfriend and don't act like @ssholes when they are around his girl or anyone else, and friends that make the gurl feel safe

I am a guy just so you know where I am coming from.
I have a friend of more than 30 years who is female.
When my wife and I first got married she was some what jealous of this relationship.
It was not until my wife got to know and trust my old friend did she feel OK with me having a female friend.
I had to trust that my wife would learn to trust me and my friend as only friends. I also had to show by my actions that we were only friends and that my wife was my number one in life.
So the bottom line is we all need our friends and the spouse should try to make friends with their other half friends also.

Respinsible, cool guys that know their limits and will love me! Also a girl friend that will be there to defend me whenever we argue and to let every other girl know that I'm the wife!

ones that don't flirt with you and ask you out while they know you like their best friend.
i like this guy and he likes me... well his best friend likes me too and keeps asking me out and stuff while he knows i like his friend and his friend likes me.
