In the state of INDIANA if there is NO posted speed limit sign the speed limit is 35 MPH. it doesn't matter city or county. I live in Tippecanoe county and i went thru the same thing i was doin 70 in a 35 on a country road no signs posted i thought 45 or 50 would b speed limit i knew i was speeding but that's RECKLESS driving. I tried to fight it and that's when they told me about the no posted law if it's not posted it's 35 MPH sorry it sucks I know Just another way to get that $$$$$$

there is a speed limit on country roads but you can fight it if there was no speed limit sign posted any where.

you can beat that in court. take a picture of the speed limit sign and use it for evidence. That is the posted speed limit and some of the wall cop cant change it.

make sure when you take the picture...that you have proof, like a land mark or something that its the same speed limit sign and not a random one
