I need to know how often I can have some, so I can set a specific day to regularly eat it. (no willpower!)

Find alternate sources of deserts for yourself.

Instead of denying something, substitute.

If you deny something, it makes your diet "finite". That is, when you start eating desert (which you will), your diet ends. If you substitute something for it, you will be able to maintain your regime longer and it will become a habit.

You don't have to cut out dessert completely when on a diet. It'll only make those forbidden foods seem even more forbidden. What really helped me was substitutions. I ate nonfat frozen yogurt instead of ice cream and fat-free Pringles instead of regular potato chips. When I was on a diet, I loved to eat bananas drizzled in chocolate syrup. If you're serious about dieting, I would say eat an empty calorie dessert once or twice a week. But every other day, you can still eat a few ff Pringles (15 crisps are only 70 calories and no fat) or a few scoups of nonfat frozen yogurt (anywhere from 90 to 120 calories) or a banana drizzled in chocolate syrup. These are all lower calorie snacks that are extremely satisfying. If you feel like you've eaten too much dessert, go for a nice walk to burn it off. Good luck!

Don't focus on what you eat so much as your caloric intake. Of course you should eat a balanced diet. Did you know that some foods actually make you crave to eat more food? Sugar is addictive. If you have a sweet tooth, try to stay away from high calorie, sugary deserts. Go instead for fresh fruits, or if you have to, desserts that contain fruits.

It's great that you're on your way down. You must be doing something right. Just remember that there are really only 2 ways to keep losing weight:

(1) Take in less calories than you burn.
(2) Burn more calories than you take in.

Good luck. Stay healthy. Keep at it.

I'm a sugar addict...and a diabetic, and overweight. Whenever I get on the ball I normally keep away from sugars and breads, because all they do is make me quit my diet. I do include sugar free jello in small containers (I buy the box and make like 2 containers..cheaper that way) and sometimes I add some nuts or fruit to it to give it consistency. Gl with your diet! YOU CAN DO IT!

There's a "low carbohydrate, sugar free cheesecake" recipe:
Low Carb Cheesecake

1 sugar free jello (your choice flavor)
1 box cream cheese softened and left at room temperature
1 container (small) cool whip out of fridge not frozen
1 bag of pecans (or walnuts)

1. Make sugar free jello gelatin as you would for quickset (with ice cubes follow directions on box) place in fridge and check again in 20 minutes making sure it doesn’t gel all the way just slightly

2. While you wait on gelatin, in a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and the cool whip with a mixer.

3. After you removed the gelatin from the fridge and it is slightly gelled, mix it in with the cream cheese/cool whip mixture, and blend.

4. Place the mixture in a glass pie pan or in individual containers.

5. Crush the nuts (pecans or walnuts) then sprinkle over the top of the pie.

6. Refrigerate over night or 3 hours if you can’t wait for it to be (understandable)

7. Enjoy!

You have to figure out a way to allow yourself dessert, otherwise you will binge and ruin all your efforts. Key is to portion size and not all the time.

I also recommend that you have the non-healthier desserts at lunchtime, rather then at dinner. Gives you more time to burn it off before bedtime.

If you're into ice cream, try a scoop of frozen fat-free cool whip with chocolate syrup instead. Mix in strawberries, and it's filling, fat-free, cures the craving and is considered a fruit serving!!!

Good luck!!

Well, hun, here's something I do.

Instead of the high calore stuff I used to eat- I look for lower calorie & fat alternatives (even though you might be, yuck, they're not as good;) you get used to them. If you modify your favorite desserts, to be healthier, then you could theoretically have one every day! They you wouldn't feel deprived.

I love all of the WW frozen products, like the fudgsicles and ice cream sandwiches, they are yummy , and kick my cravings quick!

That all depends on what type of diet you are on, but generally speaking it is best to avoid dessert if possible. If you just have to have something sweet though, which I COMPLETELY understand :), just try to stick with yogurt (they have chocolate now), popsicles, or low fat ice cream. Dairy is great, so if you must splurge, that is always a good choice!
