I would go with a nice card and maybe a gift certificate. Nothing too feminine, but you do want to encourage him and praise him for his performance.

I don't feel that a younger male would feel right being given flowers, so maybe a gift certificate or a fun family dinner. Flowers are fine for an older male.

Some posters are very ignorant about ballet and dance. The endurance required to do either is tremendous. I applaud the young man for doing something he enjoys. I don't think I could have done it at any age. Some stigmas never go away, but with age comes some wisdom. I sure I missed out on a lot of good things because I was afraid of what others thought.

If he's an older boy, I think flowers are quite acceptable. You give flowers to anybody after any stage performances...actors receive them all the time. I think a gift certificate is a good idea. I guess it depends on how much money you'd want to spend. There is nothing wrong with a male ballet dancer. Some of the above posters are jerks. I'll never understand how dance got the reputation that it is only for girls....

Pink roses for Frienship cause red roses are for love or just what you can afford. Go to a flower shop and tell them your budget. They can make up a beautiful boquet for you or ask google.

How about a cute dress and a ticket to Michael's Neverland for the "boy" and a head examination for the mother.

How old is he? If he's over 11 or 12, flowers are nice!
