Illegals are not immigrants. Legal immigrants have earned their place in America by honoring our laws, and our respecting our people.
Illegal Aliens are criminals that do not want to become citizens, they only want to work here, then send the money across our borders to their homelands, to further their wealth, and the wealth of their nations.
Immigrants come to America to become citizens, and by going through the process to learn our language, understand our laws, and respect our nation. I as an American honor and welcome them.
As for the criminals, I am doing all that I can to make life for them here something they no longer want. I live in Texas and I am putting them out of work, out of my communtity, and their supporters are not screaming as loudly as they were before. The companies in my area are getting the point, and looking for Americans to hire while they cover their butts to keep from being put out of business.

If you or your parents, grandparents, etc., came here to the U.S. legally, then I am very proud of saying you are a fellow citizen. However, if you are illegal then you are a criminal. You broke our laws and should not be given any of our benefits or rights, except the benefit of a free ride back to where you came from. I don't hate you, I just want you to play by the rules.

I can see where this could cause you some frustration because you see this term as an insult. Unfortunately the definition of an immigrant according to dictionary.com is a person who comes to a country where they were not born in order to settle there. So honestly it is not an incorrect term.
I would like to know how you go about getting illegals out of your community and out of work. Is there some sort of active role that we can take as citizens to send these persons home or make them get a work visa? If there are departments to notify or legal actions that we can take that would be interesting to know.

First of all immigrants are different from non immigrants. Both have permission to be in the US. One is able to live in and work in the US and the other has permission to visit the US for a granted period of time. non immigrants become illegal when they chose to overstay on their visa, which can be renewed if they go to USCIS or www.emichoice.com to renew it before they are out of status. Once they are out of status, they are no longer legal and has become illegal. Then, there are people who choses to come into the US without the correct documents and they are illegal. For more information on your status and what you can do to stay within the laws of US go to uscis.gov or www.emichoice.com

Basically, the way I see it is that our current Congress is about dysfunctional at best, incompetent and corrupt at worst, and part of it is they haven't shuffled off some of the old lard-bodies like Kennedy...there comes a point where you just have to stop working because you're not as sharp as you were when you're 20, Some of these old codgers are WELL past that mark...time for some fresh faces on Capitol Hill that aren't just lining their pockets with taxpayer cash...we gotta fix that one in November, then we can get issues like Mexico moving in to stay cleared up PRONTO....

Legal immigrants are legal and no one is insulting them. I'm legal from Canada. I came here through the legal system! ILLEGAL immigrants is what I have a problem with...They come in the back door of our home uninvited and expect to eat out of our refrigerator. No I say....so I throw them back out the door and they keep coming back through the window. What the heck am I suppose to think and say about them!!!???

doesnt matter they should go back

and it is not a racial issue as I would be upset if people from ANY other nationality came here

reason being that the us is already overpopulated and has problems with crimes and so on.

and once you get a job you have children and the job does not allow you to pay for the children's expenses so you have to go on welfare, and who pays for this expenses? the middle class people, which comes out of our checks so we are screwed because we have less money

(as the rich can just not pay)

I concur. I hate when the TV types lop illegals into the same group with those who have come here legally. I guess it is just one more way they feel they can blur the lines.

Exactly! And by all means, could we please get the liberals to stop calling them undocumented workers? What they did, and are doing, is illegal. The discussion should end there. I don't get to rob a bank to feed my hungry family. Illegal activity is illegal activity. It doesn't matter why they did it, why they chose to ignore the legal route that others have taken.

you are quite correct. They are illegal criminals. Many liberals call them immigrants and never use the term illegal.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. If the person is going to immigrate, it is best that he/she do it correctly, just like many other people around the world.
