Hunger and poverty will always be around, but their burden can be lessened significantly. While we cling to our faith that government will deliver us, provided that we let ourselves be taxed to death, no great dent can be put in the global issues of poverty and hunger.
Welfare and foreign aid do nothing but give harmful bureaucracies more and more power to abuse. Such programs look good, but they create a system of force: govt steals from us, calling it compassion, making us victims who "gave at the tax office" and perpetuates a dependency on legalised theft. That is not "social responsibility"! This is a perversion of the concept of compassion, of charity, but as long as we trust religion and/or government to rescue us, there is no real help for the poor.

Compassion, NOT compulsion. http://www.bureaucrash.com/

World hunger and poverty cannot be ended. We can only hope to lessen it, minimize its effects as best we can.

One of the primary problems with regard to world hunger and poverty is totalitarian government. No other country can end the hunger and poverty of people living in a totalitarian government. If a country's government doesn't wish to end it, no outsider will be able to. North Korea is a very good example of this.

Assasinate many of the repressive leaders of the world who keep their people in poverty and steal aid money ear-marked to help the poor and disadvantaged (Are you listening Africa?).

Repressive regimes are the primary reason for most of the worlds hunger.

We cannot end world hunger. It would require an end to apathy, which we can never achieve. That doesnt mean that we can't do our best to decrease poverty by donating everything we have and living humbly.

I would go into a developing country and build. I would build roads, so that remote areas of a country could have access to trucks, planes and vehicles that could carry food. And I would bring food.

Then I would build water treatment plants so that I could treat water to end waterborne diseases such as cholera, dysentery, polio, typhoid and enable food and water to be safe to eat and drink.

Then I would build sewage treatment plants to prevent sewage from getting into the ground water.

Then I would build schools, hospitals and homes.

I would teach agriculture and teach the citizens how to produce their own food. I would teach geography and business and teach them how to feed the citizens of the country and how to market the surplus.

And I would be truly very busy for the rest of my life.

The theoretical answer is education. But the world population is increasing faster than the education can be taught. There is really nothing complicated about it. Too many babies are being produced by people who cant afford them.

People need to vote for better leaders in their country, it takes leadership, we cant end it, only they can help themselves. just like them illegals, they should not be protesting here in the USA about deportation, they need to go back to their country and protest there for better life for their people.
