At home! Call some of her friends and ask them to help you plan a surprise bday party for her. Ask them what is her favorite "whatever" (sometimes friends often know more than the parents on what their child really likes.) is, and get the party favors and the matching cake. If ya have a camper or a tent set it up outside (with walkie-talkies) and load all the party stuff in there. Make smores and order pizza and have it delivered to them in the backyard (with your supervision). It makes them feel alittle more grown up and scared at the same time. You won't get much sleep that night, but your daughter and her friends will have a blast. Oh, make sure you get permission from her friends parents to stay the night outside. Have a happy and safe birthday!!!

If you don't want it at home, then going to a bowling alley is usually fun. You can go get pizza later or something. But yeah I've spent many parties at bowling alleys and for some reason everybody just really enjoys it even if you are a terrible bowler like me. Those places with indoor jungle gym thingies are cool too, especially ones with lazer tag!

try a circus, the best location is home, where you can invite a lot of your daughter's friends over for cake and ice cream, then afterwards, she can open presents from you or other friends, afterwards you can have a slumber party, to sleep over and hang out and tell stories to selves, anyway, i am glad that she is turning 10, i am 20 now, soon i will be 21, just invite

A picnic at a park could be pretty good; let the children roam around but come back and sit a moment for the Cake, etc. You can also have lawn games.
