The Old Testament has to do with the covenant to Moses. The New Testament is about the life of Jesus and a new covenant. A lot of the old ways were done away with because Jesus died on the cross for our sins. That is also why he did it. So that we could have a relationship with God thru him.

Sweetie, something need not be a lie to be irrelevant.
The Old Testament was intended to be a learning manual for a people whose ideas of God were primitive at best.
Think of early pictures and ideas of dinosaurs. Compared to what we know today that "knowledge" is largely invalid. But it was the best the scientists could do at the time. Invalidity does NOT equate with "lies". The first is ignorance. The second is deliberate misleading for harmful purposes.
Perhaps you need a refresher course in semantics? Or a beginner's?

First off, it really makes no difference how valid the Old Testament is or was because the Old Testament is for non-Christians anyway. The New Testament is for Christians.
There were no Christians before the birth of Christ. If you call yourself a Christian forget about worrying about the Old Testament and it's many contradictions and concentrate on following the teachings of Christ.

The OT is valid. If it is not why are people making a big deal out of the 10 commandments. You can't have it both ways.

Buddy, you've already had three accounts de-activated. If you truly believe in what you are saying, then you belong on the Mythology and Folklore board. Not only that, but you're flipping out questions so fast, you aren't even taking the time to read the answers.

It only applies to those other people. You know, the heathens, the dirty non-believers. When they, as Christians, break a law, they only have to refer to the new testament and Jesus and all is cleared for them.
Strange how they forget that part that says how you judge/condemn another is how it will be given back to you. ^_^

It was written by man. Man is fallible. Therefore the Bible is fallible.
