Its safer than not using one.. but nothing is guaranteed safe. Condoms can break causing serious problems...I would wait until your a couple years older before you start worrying about stuff like that.

Condoms are around 85% effective against preventing pregnancy. It's much safer to use one than not to, yes, but if you could find a backup method to use (such as a diaphragm, hormonal birth control, or spermicidal foam), then you'd be at least a little bit safer. Don't use two condoms together, though, as the friction between them will actually make both of them more likely to tear.

First of all, if your not ready to accept the responsibility of becoming a parent, if that accident were to occur, then you shouldnt be having sex. However, remember, condoms are only 98% effective, when used CORRECTLY. So make sure you follow the directions on the package, about what kind of temperatures to store them in, how to use them, etc. And dont use any kind of lube that is going to break down the latex in the condom. Be responsible if your going to be doing this kind of thing at all.

It is always best to protect yourself by using a condom, but nothing is ever guaranteed. You really need to educate yourself on the whole idea of being sexually active before you just let your hormones run your life. You seem a little young and need to talk to someone, by that I mean an ADULT THAT YOU TRUST, and learn the facts. Good luck!

Yes, it would be safer to use a condom. However, no contraceptive is 100% effective. The only effective form of contraceptive is NOT TO DO IT!! You do know that it is illegal for you to have sex at your age?

Yes, use a condom. But nothing's foolproof. You should always be prepared for the worst, getting some kind of STD or getting the person pregnant (unless you're gay).

**COME ON PEOPLE, HE HAS ALREADY DECIDED THAT HE WANTS TO HAVE SEX, STOP TRYING TO TALK HIM OUT OF IT!! IT IS HIS DECISION, IF HE WANTS TO HAVE SEX THEN HE SHOULD ALSO KNOW ABOUT THE CONSEQUENCES OF IF SOMETHING GOES "WRONG"

yes as long as you know what you are doing, test the condom for LEAKS AND TEARS before u put it on, make sure it is the right size so it isnt to loose and too tight, make sure the girl has some protection also (girl condoms, pill, diaphram)
