I have the same problem.
If you feel hungry, wait fifteen minuites, and see if your still hungry.
If you KNOW you shouldn't be eating, walk away and go do something else that will get your mind off of eating. Works for me.

Fill up on fruit and veg so that you've no room for the things you crave!
You could try having low calorie chocolate drinks when you get a craving for that, like options 40 cals a sachet.
With bread, have some really nice brad just once a week...that's what I do. My mum buys a baguette every Thursday and I eat some of that.
Though with all of this, try not to hav it in the house. If it's there you want it more...if you crave it and a walk to the shops is the only way to get it, mayb by the time you've got there you won't b bothered by it!

Think of it in small bits: every time the human mind registers a craving it scientifically has been proven to last 10 mins. Fight/ignore it for those ten minutes. Then go on. Separate each craving/fit. Make them into individual instances.
Of course, if you're like me, there are some bad foods I don't WANT to be good about, so I've already lost the battle with those.

You would be considered an emotional eater. Someone who eats high carb foods when they are worried about something. Example: Worried about a job interview, you begin to eat high carb foods to comfort yourself. Next time you put something in your mouth and you are not hungry, ask yourself what is bothering you. Keep a journal of your eating when you are not hungry so that you can begin working on stopping the binging. To stop the emotional eating, you must rework your way of thinking, that is, working out your problems without picking up a high carb food for comfort. Good luck.

If you have cravings it may mean that you don't have a balanced enough diet. I used to crave sweets and chocolate but now i eat a fruit & fibre cereal for breakfast, and a yogurt and banana for my snacks. I find that i don't crave the sweet things any more, and i don't keep them in the house either so i'm not so tempted. I do find that if i REALLY need chocolate then "go ahead" do yogurt coated biscuit/bars now which are so satisfying! They are still high in calories but are low fat so they are a bit better for you!

Two things that I've learnt might help you!
1st - Drink a pint of water and there fore that will fill you up if you're not hungry.
2nd - if it's chocolate they say the best thing is to eat a pickled onion...sounds weird, but it takes the taste away from wanting chocolate.
Some people may say...just don't eat it but that is a silly answer!
If you end up having to eat the chocolate or crisps then go for the healthiest one there is.

My painful experience on losing weight in the past has taught me to get away with bread and chocolates. Also, flour, rice, and anything sweet and sour.
If you don't touch these things for a month, you've successfully form a good habit of refraining from foods that give you a very good appetite.
It's the *appetite* that ruins your will-power.

Try finding food which you really enjoy, but which are super healthy- like orangges, grapes, or something more exotic like fresh papaya. Or perhaps fine a healthier substitute for the things you love like Snacker Jacks instead of crisps or riveta minis. In stead of going to your usual junk type foods get a smoothy maker and try out loads of new healthy smoothies.
Good Luck =)

Splash vinagar on it and you will lose the craving for any type of food. If you eat a apple 30 minutes before you eat the bad food you will eat less of the bad food. Apple contains water and it will fill you up enough to eat a lot less of the bad things.

I had the same problem after giving up smoking. Just don't keep any crap food in your house - only healthy snacks like vegetables and rice crackers. When you're really gagging for junk food, drink 2 pints of water and read a good book, it will help take your mind off food for a bit.

I'm always craving! All you do is drink water in replacement for the food. It really works after a while. You can even rplace that junk food withgood, healthy - as hard as it is. Eventually your body will see that your in control and that you have to eat healthy in order to stay that way. Hope I helped...caused I just helped myself.
