There are not many concerns. You cannot get pregnant, since it goes into your stomach and it never reaches your uterus. Also, the gastric juices in your tummy neutralize it almost immediately. Some people say that semen has high fat content and will make you gain weight. This is a MYTH. Is has very little calories.

There is a SLIGHT chance of contracting HIV through oral sex. However, I have discussed this with my doc several times and she says the chances are slim. You would need to have an open bleeding cut in your mouth at the time.

As a rule of thumb, you should be familiar with your partner's sexual history and make sure you trust him before you swap body fluids....

There is also a rare allergy to semen. When it touches your skin it feels like it is burning. There is also a condition that men can get (like from chemical weapons or depleted uranium munitions used in the Gulf War) that can make their semen cause this allergic reaction.

But with no STD in the guy and no allergy in the girl there are great health benefits. If you are willing to do it three times a week or more. There's lots of good stuff in semen. It's in healthy food too... but who eats right enough? :)

Relax and enjoy it.

PS. Brushing your teeth BEFORE may leave bleeding that an STD could infect you with.
Terry, your body already produces the benefits of semen. You should be giving oral sex to a girl. ;) just kidding.

The concerns are centered on STD's. If you can trust that your partner is D/D free you will be fine. If you have a sore or cut in your mouth it would be a good idea to wait until it is healed. Actually the chance of getting an STD from oral sex is very small.

Performing oral sex on men is my favorite sexual activity. I don't worry too much about it and I don't think you should be overly concerned either.

I read somewhere that the average calorie of.. uhhh.. it is something like 16 per... uhh.. spoonful.. or whatever the standard is for measuring it in legal Yahoo terms :)
brush your teeth before and after.. make sure you have no open mouth sores and HIV/AIDS should be of no concern ..
It has been known to greatly raise levels of protein in blood or urine tests .. but there is no big medical concern in that to fret over..
Tell your doctor it is diet related.. peanut butter will do the same thing, in theory.
whatever makes you or your partner (hopefully both) happy.. go for it.. (carefully)

If you're a girl, I hear it's the taste.
If you're a guy, i guess it would be that you're gay.

Oh, and what the person said above. AIDS and STDs are transferred that way too.
