I've tried internet dating a few times with no succes. Any suggestions or ideas?

I could give you all kinds of different info on meeting guys in there forties. Singles chat rooms, dating sites, church groups, ball games, bars and wal-mart for that matter. But the best advice I can give you is to wait. I know its hard when your lonely, but you will attract the wrong kind of men if you go out looking. Just go on with your life hun, your knight will show up at the most unexpected time.

I have tried internet dating and all I ever find are users, wacknuts and freaks out there. Have you tried travel companies that cater to single people? There are a few here in south Florida that even offer day trips for singles where you can meet some good quality people.
Of course, the best place in my opinion to meet people of substance is on any cruise ship in the Caribbean.

I went out last night with a group of friends, male and female, all in our 40's and above. There was tons of single men our ages there, and of course , women too. They talked, laughed, danced, and in general, had a great time. The idea I want to express, is, "you have to get out of the house in order to meet someone." They are not going to come knocking on your door. I tried internet dating too, and had some success, but I have a lot more fun going out, than sitting here reading a computer screen, trying to meet somebody. There is HUMAN contact when you go out. Keep up trying on the internet because you have a bigger choice and better options, and trying hanging out where the guys you would like to meet hang out. You don't have to go to bars and such. You can meet guys any where if you put some effort into it. Alot depends on the type and age and traits your looking for

When you find out, let me know. How do you meet men in your forties when you have two young children? Should it even be attempted or should I figure I've had my shot at a happy marriage and just be alone?

your go though seasons, with online dateing. met some nice people but more as friends and met alot screy people,like i have. i had no luck for awhile and met abunch people who said were single but married or only want sex. becarefull. it takes time , sometimes it ,s the sites you try with no luck. like it as makeing friends and geting out dateing , relax becarefull . maybe right now you need to take a break from it,i did for awhile ,went back on to adifferent site, no luck creeps,then tryed adifferent site ,met to ok guys, but nothing click . plus alot people are so busy with kids and working at that age. findly met my bf , i dont know where it going, but best thing out it is i make agood friend .
