Doctrine of Covenants 88:22 states, "For he who is not able to abide the law of a celestial kingdom cannot abide a celestial glory." So, if you are going to reach exaltation, you must abide by the celestial law?

President Brigham Young said, "If you obey this law, preserve it inviolate, live according to it, we shall be prepared to enjoy the blessings of a celestial kingdom" (Discourses of Brigham Young, pg. 404).

President Joseph Fielding Smith wrote, "To enter the celestial and obtain exaltation it is necessary that the whole law be kept. . .Do you desire to enter the celestial Kingdom and receive eternal life? Then be willing to keep all of the commandments." (The Way to Perfection, pg. 206).

President Spencer Kimball said that "living all the commandments guarantees total forgiveness of sin and assures one of exaltation" (Miracle, pg.208).

Are Mormons living all the commandments? If not, how do they know they are forgiven?

If Mormons don't know what the LAW is, how can they obey it?

Well there is a set amount of things we lds member (aka mormons) have to do to obtain the celestrial glory. You must be baptized in the church, Obey the word of wisdom, be sealed to your spouse and family. next celestrial glory can only be found in the celestrial kingdom. we believe that there are three main kingdoms not including outer darkness (hell). The telestrial, terestrial, and celestrial. also mormons are still human, we make mistakes just like you. only thing is that when we relize what we have done wrong we go through something called the repentence process. we first have to confess to the lord and the authority figure in our ward, stake, or branch. then we must stop what we were doing that was wrong and start praying, fasting, and reading the scriptures. at the end, we can tell if we have been forgiven because the holy spirit reveals it unto us.

Kirsty, I'm not sure what you are trying to say with this question. Are you trying to show that Mormons are not living the commandments, or are you trying to point out some problem with the concept of celestial law? I'm really not getting what you're driving at.

Of course Mormons don't keep the commandments all the time. Everybody who is with it enough to know what they are doing sins. However, through the power of Jesus Christ and through repentance, we can be forgiven and move forward.

I'm not sure what's so difficult about this concept for you. I wonder why almost all of your questions are asking about Mormonism. I suspect that you are a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, or were at one time, and you're still trying to figure out your place in relation to the Church. Don't fear it. It's still true.

Celestial law and kingdom mean the spirit or soul of mankind. Think of your body as a vehicle or car. Your car has a outer shell and internal parts and so does your body. Your car need lubricant, and your body needs blood, your car needs fuel, and so does your body. You wreck your car and it will not work anymore, if you wreck your body it wont work anymore either. The engine of a car is what makes the car move. the brain of your body is what makes your body move, but there is one thing that a car needs in order to move, even if it has a engine and everything that goes with it. A person to drive it, and the same goes for the human body, It need a soul the drive it also. If you kill your car the person has to leave the car, and if you kill your body your soul has to leave also. There's a terrestrial body and a celestial body as well.

This is a quick guide to archived discussions from Recovery from Mormonism related to polygamy and the wives of Joseph Smith. Many Mormons are unaware of Joseph Smith's wives. Mormons innocently believe these women were only sealed to him after his death. They are unaware of his relations with women as young as 14. One of his young wives was Helen Kimball. Be sure to read her article.

Just look at the facts. You may wonder how so many people could be wrong for so long. But that is the hard truth of it. And the really sad part of it is that the mormon religion is not alone in being a false religion teaching false teachings. Joseph Smiths actions do not even make him appear to be a Christian. He could not have been a prophet from Jesus Christ our true one and only Saviour. Be sure to look at the information provided in the sites below. How do you know that your forgiven? How does anyone? Only by the spirit does anyone know, and only upon judgement does one know for sure.

Rev 20: 12-13 clearly states that we will be judged according to our works, or according to what we do in this life. Noone in this world is the judge. Only God is judge, and we will only truly find out at the judgement day.

Wow lady, you really need to get a life. All your questions are about the LDS church and all the questions you have answered are about the LDS church. What did christ tell us about judgeing and criticising others?

I mean I understand if you state your opinion about the church every now and again, but at a glance of your questions and answers shows your focus exclusively on the church. Are you focusing on the mote in your brothers eye, and not seeing yours?

It's not of God. I only follow the Laws of God.
This is a quote from your post "living all the commandments guarantees total forgiveness of sin and assures one of exaltation"

That is a lie, and you are twisting the word of God to mis lead people. Total forgiveness only comes from confessing your sins to Jesus and repenting of those sins. Yes we are to obey the ten commandments, but admisson of our sins every day and repentance of those sins, after you have accepted Christ as your savior is the only way you are going to heaven.

God also says this...-
Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

So saith the Lord

We don't know what that is. Like going to another country you don't know the law there. You can pretty much guess what you should not do but.. you don't KNOW.

You are right. Most they just have to trust the Celestial Law to have some dispensation.... most do.

I DON'T KNOW what your talking bout', but CELESTIAL LAW's means that the PLANET's, STAR's and everthing out there in the UNIVERSE (outer-space to you) follow's the Spiritual LAW's that the CREATOR put into OPERATION (gravity,so on) so that they will act right in the PHYSICAL REALM. GOD is over ALL, cept US, HE gave us FREE-WILL----but there are limit's to what we can do. Ditto!!!!!
