My hair is usually fine (I let it down) when I'm out, but when the temperature soars in the afternoon and I start to sweat, it begins to frizz and feel rough. What is this, and do I need hair sprays?

sweating causes temporary frizz n roughness...which is normal..instead in summers u shud tie up ur hair to avoid frizz from sweat or if u wanna let it down then keep a cute scarf around ur neck basically back neck so that the scarf soaks the sweat , not ur hair...n which adds style to ur dress too..to avoid frizz after shampooing keep ur hair wet in diluted milk for 10 mins to give conditioning n then rinse wid shampoo

Matrix Biolage leave in shine milk spray. Doesnt make your hair weighed down or feel oily to the touch. Makes your hair shiny with out the weight, soft to the touch, and pretty much frizz free. Worth the $$

Paul Mitchell makes a line called super skinny, it is designed to reduce and help prevent frizz. Try the Super Skinny Serum. Sleek Look is a line made by Matrix, and it is one of my favorites. They have a product called extreme styling creme. Biolage is another line made by Matrix and they also have smoothing products. Redken makes a line called smooth down. All of these could help you, depending on how you style your hair, whether you blow-dry it, flat-iron, or just wash and go. Don't be afraid to just stop-by a salon so that a stylist can see you hair and they can tell what will work best for you. We are used to people coming in just to ask us questions.

Hair spray dries out your hair and the frizz gets worse.

Go to a hair supply store and ask them.
I got some great stuff there.

As I told the gal with the flat iron question
Get something with silicone, that makes my hair very soft. And my hair doesn't frizz at all when I use it.

But if you want big hair you may need something else.

use a vinegar rinse on your hair after shampoo and conditioner. After running the vinegar in your hair, rinse with cold water and towel dry. Avoid hair dryers. The vinegar will lay the hair cuticles down. And don't worry, your hair won't smell funny,

Kerastase makes a spray that you spray on your hair after styling. It works well to avoid frizziness. It's really expensive, but well worth it to me.
