Use the right shampoo, do not dy your hair, don't use other chemical product for your hair, wash your hair everyday. Pick a pillow that made by silk, make sure it should soft, and smooth. The pillow is a very important source to make your hair straight, and shiny. Hide your hair from the sun rays by put them inside your hat, because the sun radiation can kill the protein in your hair, and make them not look shiny.

There are a few ways you can add shine to your hair. You can deep condition it (only do this like once a week) Stay away from hair dryers, and if you can't, use heat activated shampoos and conditioners. You can buy products that add shine (they are usually just sprays, such as Got2Be) Use a clarifying shampoo. Just take really good care of your hair, and it should be shiny, but not greasy.

cut back on all shampoos with waxes in them... most drugstore products like Pantene, Thermasilk and Garnier have a certain amount of waxes in their products. This can lead to dull-looking hair after a certain amount of time.
Use a clarifying shampoo to get all the residue and "gunk" out of your hair or mix a tablespoon of baking soda in with your shampoo to do the trick. (clarifying once a week is ideal)
Use a good moisturizing or smoothing shampoo and conditioner. Try to rinse with water as cold as you can take it. This will close the cuticle of the hair down and lock in all the moisture.
If blowdrying, try using a blowdry serum or glossing drops before blowdrying. For dry hair use a "shine spray."

Put some kind of greasy stuff on it. But don't be surprised if you hate the results!
Hair is not normally really shiny; it has a soft, silky sheen.

i personally like john frieda "shine release shampoo". it was the first shampoo that i actually noticed a difference with. my hair looked noticably more shiny after about 2 or 3 washes. the shampoo works best if you use the "light reflecting conditioner" with it.

After shampooing rinse with cider vinegar, while your in the drying process use light hair serum, and follow it after your style is complete with oil sheen hairspray in a can, all of which can be found at Sally's, excluding cider vinegar. Good luck.
