All our human actions are said to spring from TWO Bases. One is SEX & another is the desire to feel important & get more & more Sex.
Men are after Gold? Why? To get the women they want.
Men are after money? Why? Ditto.
Men are after Power sothat they can amass wealth & grab plenty of gold. For what purpose? Ditto.
So, if women are ready & available for free, then men will change their ways! They won't be obsessed with Power or Pelf or Sex! But the world won't be a good place to live in!
Men like Hunting & getting & not getting regularly fed comfortably staying in cages!

People are by nature, self-centered - always me, my and I comes first. With power, I can always be FIRST in doing what I want, what I desire or whatever I deem right and needful... etc. That makes power so tempting and a need to have in order to protect or enhancing our self-centereness.
With this kind of nature, how could human not obsess with power especially having experienced it?

Because of self doubt. When people are obsessed with power it is to inflate their own ego. To become better than......richer than.....more powerful than........
Relinquising the power to God, doing the footwork and staying out of the results is a much happier way to exist.

It is definitely a character flaw. Not all are obsessed with control or power. The biggest offenders are politicians, police and criminals.

well,because some humans only know power. some were born with power in there families, others just out of greed. what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul....

The ability to make a difference in the world is an enormously rewarding feeling. Given the chance to control events as you see fit is so enticing that it is difficult to turn the idea away.

human are too obsess with power cos....
with power u have authority...
and then... u rule the world!
everything is in your control, it's great!
but with power.... u will miss out lots of great stuff... like true friendship, love, family etc........

humans are so obsessed with power because it gives them a since of purpose, it makes them feel like they're in control of their own lifes...when really they are trying so hard, that they lose sight of what they really want. great examples of this throughout history are alexander the great, Ghengis Kahn, and Atilla the Hun.

For some reason there seems to be born into some the need to control others.I feel sorry for them.I also feel for the sorry lot who think they are better composers of questions.These people may still be learning our language.Give them a fair go
