I am NOT TRYING TO GET RID of my puppy!! I would never EVER do that!!! I just thought my dad would give my puppy to my little sister when I go off to college and then give it back to me when I get out. And when I get out I could get another companion for my puppy and also get a cat so when I have to go to my future job (lol) in the morning and my future husband is getting ready for work (lol),if he's not enough company they'll have each other and when I get home I can play with them and love them...so get this straight pleasE!! I am NOT trying to get rid of my puppy!!

what do you mean keep him till he gets older....? then what, trade him in for a new model? And kittens, well you know, they grow up into cats. They get bigger. Hello? anybody in there?? Perhaps you should not be a pet owner. These are live beings that depend on you for the rest of their life. it is a real commitment. you can't just get what you want like your buying this seasons new handbag or something. Seriously.

i hope your not suggesting you would give away the Yorkie when he gets old! Ive seen people bring in older dogs when the get "tired" of the dog and they think...oh someone will take him, he'll be okay.
WRONG!
most older dogs are never adopted out of the shelter system. and they end up being put down...what a FABULOUS way to end a long life. of course if you can throw away a dog after have him for 10-12yrs so easily then he probably never had a great life anyways.
The dogs that get turned into the local pound....i know your all thinking they sit in a cage for awhile till they are adopted, but then some get put to sleep.
WRONG again.
while SOME shelters allow for some owner-turn in dogs to sit in a cage 3-7days..., before being destroyed, MOST DONT.
they owner turn-ins are too high in number, they don't have enough room. so they are immediately destroyed.
this isn't just for older dogs...its for any dog or cat brought in....8weeks old or 8 yrs. old!
your pet is not a shoe, necklace, new pair of jeans, couch, or car..its a living breathing thing...not a fad, or a toy!
treat them with respect! they do you, they love you unconditionally...and we humans, considering our track record, don't deserve it.

so my advice is, take care of the dog you have NOW...and worry about another one, later...when the one you have has had a full life!

There is a breed called Munchkin cats that have really short legs, but regular cat sized bodies. I don't know of any minature kittys!

I think you are out of luck here. I havent heard of any small breeds of cats. Not miniature. I wished I could have kept our kittens small also...
