Labrador Retrievers. The are a great family dog and offer protection. Great with kids and ours is baby proof. You can pull her ears, pick her nose and stick your hands in her mouth and she will not do anything about it.

Lab's. They're loyal and a good all around dog. They are calm yet playful. Protective but not overly agressive. My dog is 10 and he still loves playing hide and go seek.

The German Shepherd, My dog is one and he is the most Loyal, Loving Dog I have ever had! He is playful and can still kick a$$ when he wants too, he is kind of old now but he still loves having fun!
