Yes. Jogging puts quite a pounding on your entire body... try switching to a treadmill. Swimming is the best choice for low impact exercising.

It can be bad for your lower back and many other joints.
It is usually contributed to three areas:
1. Type of surface -- Pavement and concrete are the two worst surfaces to run on. Grass or dirt are much better
2. Shoes -- consult some magazines and your local sporting goods shop (try to find a local shop, many big box stores will hire anyone who will accept min. wage, local shops tend to do their homework on which products are the best, and will go the extra mile to earn your business.)
3. Technique -- Many of use, just put our bodies in bad position while running. Once again Jogging magazines may be your best bet in improving and placing yourself into proper positioning.
Good Luck

if you dont have good soled shoes and are so heavy yea! soft ground is best good thick soles for support in your sneakers are good. Jogging is good for heart upper area for Cardiovasuclar. What is your goal? swimming is all around good excercise for all areas biking is another.. simple is best! Why break down your arches and knock your ribcage out if your not healthy .. Bike it and enjoy the scenery at same time it is all around good.

Mostly yes. jogging (especially over doing it), can rub the bone marrow so much thinning it & thining it more. weak bones & very soft tissues is a sign of osteoperosus. you may want to ask your docter what is exactly right for you.
