examples: I have type A personality, therefore I can be overly aggressive, or I have ADD, so I don't have to try to pay attention. I am seeing this more and more, is anyone else?

Yes, it seems everyone has an excuse forevery thing they do, now adays. I'm bi-polar,I have ADD etc.... I believe, less then 1/2 of these people truly have the problem, which does a dis-service to those really suffering from the disorders. Dr's are to quick to label things.

Some (too many on Yahoo! Answers) act rudely, period. That's just how they are.
Instead of doing anything constructive in school or elsewhere, people hide behind some contrived illness or bogus mental condition (dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADD, etc.) to gain sympathy. It seems people have forgotten how to overcome their shortcomings. Instead, they just become rude, sour individuals.

I think people have those labels for a reason. They aren't using it as an excuse, they are who they are. Simply because the label identifies something, doesn't mean it will automatically change.

I've noticed it too and totally agree with you.
Therapists and Psychologists, etc have made people have excuses for everything these days.
They want you to feel sorry for such people and not expect them to act civilized and considerate.
