I live in California in the little town where Del Taco started. The original owners were our neighbors when I was a kid. We are still friends.
Anyway, I don't like taco bell. It's just nasty. And, after Del Taco was sold to the franchise I don't eat at any that are out of this town. The people who started it still live and work here and the food us just better. Part of my reasoning may be that I have been eating it all my life. We used to play in the back while the parents worked. It's such of part of our lives that eating there is like eating at home for us.

I've never had anything from a "Del Taco" - I lived in Denver for two years, but I guess they weren't in that area then (if ever). I guess I'd take Taco Bell by default - my hometown has a couple of "Taco John's" stores, but I think it's a local thing only, or perhaps a small Midwestern chain.

Does Del Taco serve Pepsi products? Taco Bell is the only place I know where one can get Mountain Dew "Baja Blast" (lime). Good stuff!

Taco Bell is better except for service. I have never in my life ordered from a Taco Bell and had my order correct. We literally have to not juts count but unwrap every item in the bag to make sure it's right before leaving. I hate to hold up the line, but I want what I paid for and too many times got all the way home to find out my steak taco is really a regular taco.

Both are good, and go to each of them about the same amount of times, but I prefer Del Tacos' hot sauce better. They should sell it in stores.

I live in Texas and we used to have Del Taco. I loved it. The food definitely tasted better and fresher.

There are a bunch of fast food mexican places....but Taco Bell has got to be my LEAST FAVORITE....

Ever heard of Taco Bueno? Paco Taco? Taco Burrito?
Even Dairy Queen's 'tacos' are better than Taco Bell.......in my opinion................

Taco Bell's hot sauce is good for cleaning copper pennies..........
