I'm sorry about the death of your uncle. The death of someone close to you is one of life's most stressful events.
Sometimes, time can be a healer. You didn't say how long it has been since his death. It usually takes at least six months or so for the grieving process to start subsiding.
If it has been more than six months, you may want to consult a therapist to not only work out your feelings, but perhaps go on a short term of anti-depressants. Emotional triggers can result in a chemical imbalance, and sometimes medication is needed to restore that balance.
Whatever you decide, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. You must have loved your uncle very much. Sometimes death can leave the living reeling and feeling the way you do.
I'm guessing your uncle's death was long enough ago that your depression has become chronic. You need to see your doctor. It may just be a matter of an antidepressant (short term) and some grief counseling to get you over the hump. Please call your doctor asap! God bless!

Treating the symptoms will help treat the desease (depression). Clean your room. Put your things in order. Take a shower and get cleaned up. Put on some fresh clothes. Call some friends. Go to a bar, cafe or other place where people socialize. Make a list of the things that you have to do tomorrow and in the next week or two. Be nice to someone. Write a eulogy or a poem.

You must truly accept the death of your uncle, and know that in nature of our world death is a part of life.
My philosophy is that any of us can die any moment, and if people accept that truth.. Everything would be beautiful
for that person would see things that he or she has never had.
One would love more fiercely, one would do his or her duty with passion, and would try to live up to their dreams.. for it might be just their last day on this beautiful world.
If you want to get out of depression, it is simple.
Since you asked the question... How can I reduce my depression? means that you seek to get out of it. Meaning you got the mental power to do it.
Try some of the things I do,
Workout, Surf, Skate basically anything physical would do..
It gets rid of Stress and keeps the body good.
and Eat right.. diet effects the body. I believe the Mind and Body are closely connected.
Remember... One life One chance, it could be your last day so live it beautifully

This may be a part of the grieving process with the passing of your uncle..however..don't beat yourself up but please get some mental health counseling..You may have real clinical depression or you may have some type of chemical imbalance..lots of people are depressed for one reason or another..life, stresses, more demands and less time can cause inability to cope and question the meaning of life and existence..mental health issues today are acknowledged and easily treated ..we often have to learn new rules of coping and outlets that will help us..good luck

Your sad because of a death so anyone who says you have deppression is wrong unless you have been sad for more than 6 months and you have a feeling of fatigue, worthlessness and hopelessness. If the death starts to interfere with your life you could have an adjustment disorder, it's a disorder where stressful event just get to you more and it's harder for you to deal with them, it doesn't mean you have deppression.
