There is a Spiritual Entity being channeled by Ester Hicks called Abraham who says that nothing matter more than feeling good. Nothing! What do you think? Aren't you able to make better contributions to our world when you feel good? Many great people feel Abraham is right on, such as Dr. Wayne Dyer. Have you read the book, "Ask and you Shall Receive" Isn't feeling bad the real the root of all evil?

To Thor: who says that this spiritual entity (Abraham) is actually a demon...you sound like one of those ignorant right wing christians. Interesting though, you name yourself after "Thor" a Pagan God! :)
To those you think you MUST feel bad you have my sympathy. That is more of the chrisitian crap about the necissity of suffering...it is all unnecessary..that's right ALL of it is unnecessary. To be happy, you must be feeling good...that is what we all need to learn after this long time dark ages teachings of ignorant christians proclaiming on the necessity of feeling bad and suffering as part of life. That's like saying ignorance is part of life so we must accept it. We can deal with ignorance by educating ourselves just as we can live a better life when we feel good...a radical but simple Truth.

To Moon Fairy: Again another ignorant right wing christian with a Pagan name. Hey, that's like me a Pagan naming myself the Virgin Mary :) haha. And yes, I have read the Bible, much more than many so called christians..that's why I am a Pagan! The Bible is filled with advocacy of violence and hatred and if that is the basis of Chrisitanity..not for me thanks. I'm into peace, love and harmony and in recovering from the violent age of the chrisitans.

I have read some of the Abraham books and I have read many of Wayne Dyer's as well and I feel that they are right on!
It makes sense that following your emotional compass will let you know the right way to live and be for you individually. It makes sense to me that God put us here to enjoy life and to live in love and joy. I have stopped worrying about every little thing and wasting my time on guilt. I try to enjoy my life every moment and when I feel myself being negative, I can recognize and do something to turn it around, and consciously make myself feel better. I put myself into a better feeling place on my emotional scale. For instance, if I am angry with someone, I will tell myself that they are not trying to hurt me but rather trying to achieve some other sort of goal that is not in line with my goals. It's really a much nicer way to live.

Feeling bad is something I really try to avoid. The "good" feeling that you speak of does for the most part make us a better person as in being more kind, more understanding, more compassionate, more caring, more giving, etc etc. Its unfortunate however that there seems to be a number of people in the world today that get their highs from the "bad feeling" they can cause in others.
I don't know if I would go as far as saying that feeling bad is the root of all evil. It depends on how one handles the bad feeling. If every time I feel bad I go out and do something destructive then I transfer the bad feeling onto someone else. We now have two people "feeling" bad, which can I suppose turn into a real snowball effect. The great part is though when I "feel good" and go out and do some constructive, that same "good" feeling can be passed on to others as well.
Everything connected to our life works better when we "feel" good, especially feeling good about ourselves. Even in the realm of medicine happy people are usually healthier people.

No. Life is not just about feeling good. To me, sex feels good. So by your question, shouldn't I just take sex wherever and whenever I felt like it? Do you think I would make better contibutions to the world if I had a full time sex slave to make me feel good? Do you think that person would feel good?
Life is all about Love. Here's why:
1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
10 but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.
11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.
12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

I believe in "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness", meaning protect your own, and allow others to find theirs, so long as there's no coercion, bullying, or whatever. Isn't a lot of the cruelty and suffering in this world inflicted that those who are steeped in anger, misery, and hatreds?
I've not read these books, but the general principle seems true. 2300 years ago, the philosopher Epicurus taught that happiness is worth persuit, but that the chief happiness is in the fulfillment of mind. Those who came afterward denigrated this teacher and pretty much exterminated his followers. People who think for themselves cannot become mere mindless sheep in a flock, to be manipulated by self-appointed leaders and power-seekers. Neither such folk or there leaders seem to have much happiness, maybe preferring that the world would end instead of becoming a better place for those who dwell upon it.

Life is not about feeling good. Life is about commitments to God and family and other people. Your feelings change a hundred times a day. If you live only by how you feel then you will never be truly happy. If you live by following the commitments you make in your life, you will be happy within yourself. That is where true happiness lies.

No, money is the root of all evil! Who is Ester Hicks anyhow? Have you read that other book, oh what is the name of it??? Oh yeah The Bible?
Doing good things for people is what should make one feel good. And that is stated in the Bible, of course not worded that way.

Be good and do good u will feel Good. U cant feel good unless u think good and do good. Doing good always brings good things into ur life. What u r experiencing now is the result of What u did in the past, What u r going to experience in the future depends on what u do now. I believe what happened is good, what is happening is very good and what is going to happen is very very good. Everything happens for the good. U r always a better person know this u will feel good always.

LIfe is about worshiping the Lord and living for Him and bringing Glory to Him through sharing His word with others, so that they may recieve Christ as their savior. It's all about building a Church ( Christians) for Jesus to take with Him to His Father as Jesus bride. For Jesus is the bridegroom.
