I very much disagree with countrysinger. Lots of guys want to have sex, will buy expensive things, and say they love you. It doesn't mean they're serious about you.
He's serious about you when he's willing to stick it out through the tough sh**. When you aren't afraid to talk to him about things, for fear of him "freaking out"... when you can argue, slam the door, and know that at the end of the day you will make up... because he will still be there. That's when you know he's serious about you.

i don't think guys enter a relationship with the intention of getting serious, it just happens. you'll know when he loves you so much he wants to be with you always. you won't need to ask!!
the worst thing a girl can do is push a relationship, he'll only respond by backing off every time.

I know this sounds really corny, but when he finally decides to admit that he loves you then he is ready. This is a very hard thing for a man to do. Don't take it lightly. It's unbelievable how much a mans macho image can hold a relationship back.

he will want u to meet his parents and family he will let u know what is going on in his private life he wouldn't hide anything from u no matter how bad it is and to top it all the way he treats u the way he makes u feel inside when a men loves u u yourself can feel it inside u

the things i do to show my girlfriend im serious about her is write her a poem or song, talk 2 her every night on the phone for about 3 hours and even talk about the future e.g. moving in with her, kids and even marraige. hope that helps.

when he is satisfied with just holding you for awhile and doesn't even care if he gets sex that night
if he goes to the store to buy tampons(he will pout but he will do it anyway)
when he wants to meet your parents
when he surprises you with thoughtful ideas like picking up dinner on the way home,cleaning for you while you are gone stuff like that
when he cares about your safety i.e. making sure you drive safely and not letting you go places alone

When he stops making excuses not to do as yo ask, eg prefers to spend time with you rather than wathching the world cup or spending time with his mates in the pub!

he vl be more caring abt u and vlget hurt soo much ven u r attracted by somebody else.. it can happen even if u r attracted by any of acters..they vl start to hate that acters then he vl be kidding u soo much and if he is very much serious in ur love of course he vl think abt u during nights..

look at him, if he misses a breath when you walk in the room, if he lingers longer that he shoulod in a situation just to spend longer with you, if he passes up an oppourtunity to go out with his friends just to be with you, then he is serious.

there are many different ways; however the best way is to just ask him (if he feels about you as you do him) and give him a chance (time) to prove it, if then he does not just move on
