Other religions believe in a God, different name but same title. The creator of all!!!
So, just because the Bible says one thing does not mean that you must believe.
We believe because our nature is to seek for something higher than ourselfs as a goal and inspirations. Whether is only during then time we live or after death, most people want to reach and have Glory
And do you know why? The reason why we seek for this higher way of living is because GOD planned it that way.

No offense, but thats really a dumb question-because the Bible does not say that. You will never unsterstand why people believe as long as you do not believe. That sounds stupid I know-but most people want some kind of sign before they believe. Go read the story of Nicodemas in John ch 3. Nick has questions he can not understand-Jesus tells him..."unless you are born again you can not see the kingdome of God", thats the way it works. You say "show me and then I will believe", and God says "no, trust me first-then I will show you". Actually you are at a stand-off with God. And thats where you will stay until you believe first. No other way...

I think this is exactly what Jesus was here to do. We are not promised a land of milk and honey in the sky after we die. The Kingdom of G*D or Heaven is life here and now but it is life as it would be if G*D were in charge. Heaven is an ideal to be held up in comparison with our current social position. It gives us a goal to shoot for. However that does bring up a good question. If the Kingdom of G*D was actualized...if somehow this utopia was established here on earth what then would be the role of G*D, faith, and religion? Perhaps I'll post my own question.

what is heaven a idea that any faith Church has given to those that seek something beyond this life. Jesus never said their was a heaven or a life after this life ,, Jesus said the kingdom or heaven is now right in front of you, you are right most believers or none believers do not seek beyond . the human conditioning of faith based faith. the life here can be all their is. then again , did you not begin from something, and that something begin form something and so on. so what ever the beginning is we and everything came from that beginning , as ... it was said the one is all. and the all is one that means you and me and everything came from the same beginning regardless of the image you or anyone chooses to give the beginning does not matter it is all the same.

Wow, yeah I would have to be born all over again and grow up all over again and live all the way up until now with that knowledge to give a truly point perspective on that question. Reason being is that I have all my hope in the fact that I will be going to heaven. That hope had been instilled in me since I was a toddler. So, there is no way I could really answer that question being that I would have inadequate info to formulate an opinon.

That would be impossible!
We would not be made in His image but reduced to the status of the animals. For no were in the Bible does is mention anything about a heaven for the animals. But it has repeatedly mentioned heaven for man. It’s a little like Jeopardy in describing the question from the answer. There is a God and a heaven and Jesus Christ is mans only way to God and heaven, to your salvation. If you refuse to believe in God and that Jesus Christ died for your and mine sins and turn away from Him then you are aware of the alternative aren’t you?

The Bible is no longer authentic, so it doesn't contain the full truth, therefore even after 50 years from now if we get new version that claims nonexistence of heaven I would still believe in God.

But it does not say that. Meanwhile, there is, I think a lot of God's grace - and peace - that comes from helping others and making an effort to be reverent and serve our fellow "children of God". This in itself can bring a level of understanding and inner comfort that might be a reflection of heaven itself. See Pastor Phil's take on religion in the link below.

If you believe the Bible was inspired by God and written according to his design by men, then no matter what the Bible says, you believe in God, right? So, if you believe the Bible is God's Word, and it said life is all we get, then so be it... the thing is, that is not what it says. What it says is that if we believe in Him, we shall have everlasting life. So my question to you is, why not believe?

For me, it is all about the love God has for His creation, even though we seem to keep disappointing Him time and time again. I think the question is, why should He even consider allowing us into His Home in the first place? We haven't been very good guests on His planet, after all. God is a very patient God.
