you know who 'they' are, and they're not just 'them' either. history is rife with examples. anyone who kills another in the name of 'god'... what does god really think of that behavior? would god feel left out if no one fought in his name anymore, or would he take delight in that?

"Religion is an insult to human dignity. without it good people do good things and evil people do evil things. Only with religion do good people do evil things"

To do something so vile as to kill another person, because of your faith (a belief based on the absence of proof or inspite of proof to the contrary), is absolutely abhorent. The issue here is that as long as the person thinks he's doing it 'in gods name' he can rationalize something that is evil in the name of something that is 'good'.

Why killing in the name of 'god'? Should we bring 'god' into the picture when we kills? Will 'god' endorse such killing? Or have these people taken over the 'driver' seat from 'god'? These are other questions that I have in mind when I read your question.

Spiritually speaking, it is VERY dangerous to mis-used the name of 'god' to kill if

1) doing with the wrong understanding of god's will.
2) the motive is not genuinely 100% for 'god' sake. Anything less than 100% genuine for 'god' sake will means some hidden personal agenda!

If God wants to kill or wipe out certain people, does he need anyone to get the job done? He could have done it swiftly and decisively with a natural disaster or other means.

Lastly, 'god' will not feel left out if people forsake him. But He would be very angry and disappointed. We must remembered that we are the created being and the Creator can easily replace the created being with another race as 'god' pleased. That is what we called God's sovereignty. Don't be surprise if 'god' even allowed other people to go against his own people in order to deal with his own people's sin!

So the bottom line is to know God, walk CLOSELY with Him and experience the reality of Him in our life. By doing so, He will personally teach and guide us to know TRUTH in this 'confusing' world.

We all have God in us. Or like Martin Luther used to say " we are all little Jesus".

Fighting or like I call it " Defending" what is right is always for God. As humans we have the capacity and obligation to get in touch with our spirit so we can see and love God. Characters thru out history that defended what they knew it was right were looked upon as revolutionaries, enemy number one or out casted.

Once you find God you know what is right and what is wrong in life. And believe me there is only one right and one truth. People might argue the statement but the bottom line will always be the same.

God wants you to defend His love,His truth and His name. Wouldn't you do the same for anyone you love?

People use in the name of God to make themselves feel justified for doing evil.
The church used its power and influence to grab land , gold and kill the "heathens" example (Aztecs) Read history or watch" discovery "and the "history "channels .The God I believe in doesn't go to church, doesn't only favor the "Christians" He loves all the good people on Earth , All cultures in all times have had a belief in a power greater than themselves , That is the "Great spirit", "God"," Prime mover" , "Creator" etc. etc....

well i think 'those' who fight in the name of 'god' wish they could be superior/supreme like 'god' but too bad they can't lol it's all illusions of grandeur.'god' is probably really annoyed with 'them' & hope 'they' would own up to their actions & take responsibility for their behavior.lightning strikes aren't freak accidents.i believe in some cases,'god' is mad & warning 'those' who use his name in vain.

The Whole Armor of God--to attack or to defend?
Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (i.e. defend yourselves)
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (spiritual wickedness in high places--I don't think this one needs any explanation--just look to our leaders.)
Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (i.e. things are gonna get tough, hang in there)
Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; (i.e. protect your heart)
Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; (i.e. be ready to spread peace)
Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. (i.e. be ready to defend your faith against attack)
Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: (i.e. protect your mind)
