My place of destination is 770 Broadway & E. 9th St. I would prefer taking the Academy Buses into the city.

You could also get your self up to Atlantic Highlands and take the ferry from there. It is expensive, though, but its an option.

I would suggest taking a train.
It's very costly in gas, tolls, and if you have to pay for parking in the city too.
Also, on the train you can relax, read, listen to music, or whatever.
and no traffic aggravation.
