My daughter is 13, she has been struggling with acne on her forehead for about 2 years now, we have tried a lot of different products, nothing seems to work totally to get rid of it for her. She is so self conscious about it and hates to even go swimming because her friends see it and she gets ebarrassed by it. I feel so bad for her, she is constantly making sure her hair is covering her head and she is so beautiful, I want to be able to see her lovely face and for her to feel good about herself. Please give me ideas on what to do to help her. It makes her sad and feel bad about herself. I hate to see that since she is so beautiful.

I suggest your daughter see a skin specialist or dermatologist. Her problem will be properly analyzed. A skin hygiene program suiting your daughters condition will be prescribed along with any necessary medication. Over the counter medications are expensive and my not be what she needs. See an expert, you obviously love your daughter and this is your best option.

This may sound stupid but it works for me. If you wet your hands, and wet a normal bar of soap, and rub the soap all over your forehead it will dry the spots out. After about 5 minutes wash the soap off with lukewarm water. It should clear up in a week at the most. In the unlikely event it does not clear up, go to a pharmacy and find a spot/acne cream. Hope this helps! :)

I think the hair covering her forehead also contributes to irritations and acne. She should put her hair up.

Benzoyl Peroxide is a very effective acne treatment that comes in different percentages for the treatment of every level of acne problem. (2%, 5% and 10%). But I think it is best for her to take her to a Dermatologist because some people are allergic to Benzoyl Peroxide.

If the girl has hair on her forehead (like bangs) the oil from her hair is causing the breakouts. All she has to do is carry some of those little astringent wipes and clean her forehead a few times a day or when she gets sweaty. Hey, good soap and water will work fine. But if it's isolated to one spot, it's her hair. She should pull it out of her face. God bless.

I never had skin problems but my mother made us wash our face with hydrogen peroxide every day and spirits of camphor. Spirits of camphor is known to draw the pimples out if you get them.
It sounds like your child may need to go to a skin specialist. If you don't have the money or insurance..........I have heard that proactive is the best and gets the fastest results. Great time to do it and get it under control.....during the summer. Then it will be taken care of by the start of school.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

if you've tried a lot of over the counter stuff and they aren't working, I would suggest giving Proactive a try. you can pick up a full kit for around $20 plus shipping. it worked really well for me when I was going through a bad acne stage about 6 years ago.

try this
1, stop covering forehead with hair, hair gets dirty and greasy this can lead to spots.
2, do not use soap on your face, soap is made of pigs fat, use baby wipes of face wipes only.
3, beauty is only skin deep, love the person inside.
